He weighs in at a lean mean 62.5kg and stands at 6ft tall and to speak to you would not expect mild mannered Qasim Nisar from Sheldon in Birmingham to be a fighter.
9 years ago Qasim who has been dubbed 'The Dream' by the fight fraternity walked into Neil Kelly's Sparkhill USKA gym to learn self defence and to get fit. Little did he or his coach Neil know at that time where it would lead to or how exciting a prospect Qasim would turn out to be.
After building up an impressive unbeaten junior record winning Midland Area, English, three versions of the British title and three versions of the European title it was all eyes on him in 2005 when he made his full contact debut.
The winning streak has continued since then with 'The Dream' powering through the rankings on route picking himself up the Midland, English, two versions of the British title, the Illustrious Golden Belt title belt, the ISKA European championship, the Golden Belt -62kg European Championship, the ISKA World Super Lightweight Championship and most recently the WPKC Super Lightweight Championship of the World..
His record stands at 32 fights with no loses and 22 of those contests ending before the final bell. A knock out record unheard of for someone his age and weight. This impressive record made him Britain's number 1 active amateur kickboxer and now one of the brightest stars and number one Professional prospect in the country.
Qasim now is on the beginning of another journey having achieved everything in the Amateur game. In October 2007 he made his successful professional debut and at present continues his campaign in the paid ranks with a packed schedule planned with many high profile fights in 2009.
Being a high profile amateur no doubt there will be people who want to earn stripes off his reputation but Qasim is sure that with continued focus and hard work in the gym that he can recreate his success from the amateurs and go on in time to become a bonifide Professional World Champion.Check back regularly to follow Qasim's dream every step of the way. His coach Neil Kelly from the USKA Kickboxing Academy in Birmingham had this to say about his young charge.

His record now stands at 22 amateur and 10 professional fights unbeaten with most of them ending by KO, He trains so hard and deserves all the success he get. Insha Allah (God Willing) nothing will stand in his way of going all the way in this sport right up to Pro World Championship status'
