The Prince William School Librarians' Association was formed in 1991 as an affiliate of the Virginia Educational Media Association (VEMA). Only three district associations in Virginia hold this affiliation. In 1996 PWSLA received the Intellectual Freedom Award from VEMA, enabling us to start our own grant programs. The membership fee has remained the same since 1991.
