Welcome to the P&W shops. The P&W shops were started late in the winter of 2003 by Brian & myself. We purchased an ex-Maine Central Fairmont MT-14 track car.The car was in need of a complete frame up restoration. Over that cold winter the car was rebuilt with much custom metal fabrication and hard work to get it ready for the 2004 season.
From there, it has grown to 5 cars (funny how that happens). Three restored, one unrestored, and, debuting this season, a completely custom built "stretch" Woodings, dubbed the "P&W CBXL".
We are also taking in motorcar work on some of the local cars on a per car basis.
We hope you enjoy your visit with us. We've established this website "because we can". Try not to take things too seriously, we don't. The railcar hobby is supposed to be fun, so let's keep it light. GW
