PW Custom Axe

Hello and welcome to my site!! My name is Paul Watson and I build guitars. Mainly solid body electrics. I usually start with a template of an existing guitar, then modify it using parts ordered or from a donor. I get the motivation through owning a guitar, and wishing it was better in a certain way. A few examples of what I have been doing are posted. Below, is an Ibanez seven string that was modded by me. Extensive work was done to this one. Starting with a beat up 7621, I pulled the bridge pick up and filled the hole. I pulled the fixed bridge and installed a tune a matic. Then routed the body and installed the EMG 707. Routed the back of the body and installed a battery box. Then topped it off with a vinyl overlay, and an Ibanez headstock decal from an online supplier. This was my first project, and all of the work was done using a drill press and a dremel. It added alot of labor, but like I said, it was the first, and I have learned alot since.
