For this tutorial you will need the following:
•PSP (I use 7 but any version should work)
•A font
•Eyecandy 3.1-Get it Here
This effect can be used on any font style or with any color.
To create this glassy looking text:
1. Open a new canvas 400x400
2. Pick a dark color for you FG (I am using #400040)
3. Pick a ligher shade for your BG( I am using #A994C7)
4. Choose your text tool and set your width at anywhere between 2-5
(I am using 2)
5. Type in your text floating and antialias checked.
6. Selections>Modify>Contract by whatever your width was.
(my width was 2 so I contracted by 2)
7. Effects> 3D>Inner Bevel with the following settings:
8. Do NOT deselect!!!
9. Effects>Plugins>Eyecandy 3.1>Glass with the following settings:
10. Selections>None.
11. Add a drop shadow to your liking.
(I used V&H=2 Opacity=50 Blur=5 Color=Black.)
You can also make golden glass like the sample below:
By changing the following:
•Change the FG to black.
•Change the BG to #F6EBDC.
•Change the settings in step 7 to the following:
You can also make silver glass like the sample below:
By changing the following:
•Change the FG to black.
•Change the BG to white.
•Change the settings in step 7 to the following:
