A letter from Frankie's mom:
Hi Kate,
Just wanted to let you know how happy we are with our little guy, Frankie, from Penny’s first litter. Frankie has been just a pleasure right from the moment we picked him up from you. The trip home took several hours longer than usual and Frankie just slept the entire time! This probably explains why he just loves car rides. Frankie has such a sweet disposition and he and my year old dachshund, Maggie, adapted to one another right away. He also gets along quite well with my cats. We get compliments on what a handsome little boy he is from everyone we meet. Frankie is a little timid when meeting new people but once he knows they are no threat he loves the attention and the belly rubs they give him. Frankie just loves the outdoors and to run in the yard. Lately chasing squirrels seems to be a favorite pastime for him. Frankie got an excellent bill of health from the vet on his first checkup and we were told his bone structure was great. Obviously the great care and nurturing you give to your dogs is reflected in the beautiful, healthy litters produced at PureSky. We are just so happy with Frankie and I will definitely keep in touch with you about future litters. There is always room for more dachshunds….they are long on love!
Sincerely, Denise & Ed Schmidt,
Gingee
"She is doing great.... I took her to a puppy agility course and she didn't know what to do at first, but after a while she was going through it and jumping and loving it... She holds her own against the big dogs .... she is doing great." ~Gingee's owner

"Dear Kate,
I wish to thank you for the wonderful way you raised our puppy for the eight weeks before she came to live with us. She is a sweet, healthy and trusting little one who loves to be held and never shies away from being petted. These are qualities that you started in her by the way you handled her and her sisters. I loved seeing the pictures of Freya and her sistersas they were growing from tiny, blind fuzz-balls to the lively little ladies who make wonderful ambassadors for dachshunds to he world. As she has grown in our household, she has learned to chase and be chased by cats, jump over six inch barriers and sleep in laps. She walks on a lease - more of an amble, not at heel. In time she'll learn to signal her needs for going outside but even now when we humans miss her signs, she knows enough to look contrite when an accident happens . I have no intention of breeding her but she is showing every sign on being a lovely example of "badger hound" albeit of the mini - sized. Thank you again, Maurine Ripple, [Freya's owner]
