| Birthplace: I was born at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont. It was quite cold, having been December in Vermont. The snow on the trees, sitting heavily on the branches, and the ground frozen, for almost two months at this point. |

Heritage: We all come from a number of different backgrounds, but my two most prominent backgrounds are Irish (maternal) and French (paternal). It is said in our family that one of my great grandfathers had some Native American (Blackfoot) in his heritage, but there is no more evidence to that claim, than the fact that almost all of his descendants are drawn to the outdoors. |

Marital Status: I am engaged to the most incredibly beautiful, funny, honest, caring person in the world. Her name is Heather, and we've been together for seven years. We're going to be married in July 2007, only six months away!. She is my best friend and everything I could ever want in a best friend and girlfriend. We enjoy doing pretty much everything together, and have a mile-long list of inside jokes. She is also the model in the vast majority of my photography. Every couple has squabbles, but we have learned over the years that the key to any relationship is communication and trust. We are not yet married, but I am completely taken forever. I love you, Dear! ♥ |

| Interests: I enjoy all kinds of photography, digital as well as film, color as well as black and white. Each have their own uniqueness, and each are worthy of their own place in the photography world. To go to my photography site, click here. My favorite animal is the turtle, specifically the Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia Mydas) (pictured below). One of my favorite pastimes, and by far my favorite game is chess. My friend taught me how to play when we were seven, and I've been playing ever since. ¡Viva Bobby Fisher! I enjoy writing poetry in English as well as Spanish, as I am fluent in both and love poetry in general. My favorite poet is Emily Dickinson, coincidentally we share the same birthday. Another favorite pastime of mine is drawing, people mostly. I've been told I'm quite good, actually. Although chess is my favorite game by far, I am going to contradict myself by saying that billiards come at a close second for me. Not that they will ever take the place of chess, but I enjoy them almost as much. And I'm sure most of us, like myself, enjoy singing. Now I'm not claiming that I am a good singer by any stretch of the imagination, but I enjoy it nonetheless. And as I mentioned in the heritage section, I am drawn to the outdoors and hence, I love to go camping. And lastly, I'm sure it goes without saying, that I am a big fan of country music. Of course, I have many other hobbies and interests, but these are the primary ones. |

Purely Poetry Publishing |
What is Purely Poetry? I'm glad you asked. I have been writing poetry pretty seriously ever since I was about eleven years old. It started out as just wring single-stanza poems in greeting cards that I made for family and friends. But soon, I started to write longer poems, as a way to tell stories and as journal entries. I wrote about how I felt about things, things that I noticed around me, and stories about overcoming obstacles. By the time I became a freshman at the University of Vermont, I had fifty poems. I decided to compile them into a short book to share with my friends and family. It was a very simple book, filled with simple poetry, no more, no less. So I decided to call it Purely Poetry, After all, that's what it was. Since then, I have added another fifty poems. And rather than making another small booklet, just for those closer to me, I decided to combine all one-hundred poems and publish them. So that's exactly what I did, and I called it Cooked Chicken. I then turned "Purely Poetry" into Purely Poetry Publishing, my publishing company, and I already have people asking me to publish their books for them. My new book, however, is filled willed poetry of all sorts, not just poems. I have also included three original songs of mine, some of my photography, and one of my drawings. I have an excerpt from my book available to read if you would like - just click the white piece of paper on the right. If you decide that you like it and would like information on how to get your own autographed copy of Cooked Chicken, just send me a message at ddubiejr@yahoo.com, and I will get one to you. If you would like more information on the book itself, just click here. |
