A Great time was had at the Franklin Fairgrounds Friday night with a community of support out to enjoy some BBQ Pork snadwiches and beans...A lot of help behind the scenes made for a fun evening including entertainment by Melindaa Feree " Patsy Cline" and Big Al Weekley and his Jukebox of music and Ms. B and dancing friends.
The Greatest Honor....Big Al trusted with a Family heirloom . Given by a gentleman that Enjoys Big Al's Bluegrass program and Americana Gospel he mentions he has heard Big Al on Sirius XM satellite radio, he thought within his family there would be no one that would appreciate and care for this special heirloom, ... prompting him to give Big Al a call, and a meeting of friends with a passion for music with a cup of coffee was set! Ed drove here from Montana to bring this to Big Al, and he will forever cherish the honor and trust in this gift. It is a 1950's model Mandolin and a Leather cased amplifier compliments this beautiful instrument. Big Al has a perfect place to display this new treasure and you will probably see him with it at a few shows so his listening family can also enjoy this kind gesture of faith. Big Al's programs reach the Listeners and Truckers across the western U.S. and Canada, with Big Al and Ed also being a professional truckers they have a lot in common. This is a picture of Ed at the truck stop with the mandolin to give Big Al.Radioactive Airplay Number 1's!

Big Al Weekley Big Al? or Pops? Goldwing Express
A Full House Thursday, Friday and Saturday enjoyed all the Great Talent brought to North Platte April 23-25, 2009 According to OutbackNebraska.com a nice article wrote: Emcee for the show, Big Al Weekley. Big Al is a fantastic Bluegrass artist in his own right, a song writer, a Bluegrass historian, an award winning DJ and a truck driver. His contributions on stage take the show over the top, and I would imagine that he's heavily involved behind the scenes keeping things running smoothly as well.
Big Al Invited to be on Tom May River City Folk Show... A Trip to Studio B in April was a true delight for Big Al and his "band" Blue Swing. Tim May's show is heard on over 150 stations, Public Tv and Satellite radio due to air after August. We had a Great Visit with Mr. May and his Co-Producer Cletes with an hour of interview with Big Al sparked by his friendship with Jim Salstrom and Big Al's #1 Bluegrass Hit on the Radio Active Airplay Charts. "Roll On 18 Wheels" written and performed by Big Al. A Big Thanks to ALL Big Al's fans for requesting his song all across the nation. visti Tom May's Website http://www.tommayfolk.com/rivercityfolk/ or
