I heard and saw the results for Saturday, congrats to all! It was windy and muddy, however great temp to run in. Remember to tell and encourage your children on their own individual improvements. As coaches, we want all team members cheering everyone on, we also want each child to focus on their own goals and improvements. Perhaps the goal is not to walk any of the coarse, whatever it is, it is their accomplishment!
I received this e-mail from Mark Crull and wanted all to know, how wonderful for them to do this!
MAY 30th MEET
-End of Season Cookout: All coaches, volunteers, parents, and athletes are welcome to stay for an end of the year cookout following the last race. Pup Running will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, water, Gatorade, cups, plates, and napkins. Please communicate this information with your team parents. For those staying, they should bring a picnic blanket, folding chairs, and anything else that they might need for a picnic/cookout environment.
-Middle School Cross Country Coaches: During the End of the Season Cookout, one or more of the three Carmel Middle School Cross Country Coaches will be present to talk with the 5th graders about middle school xc and invite them to join their summer training programs. This will be a great opportunity for 5th graders to meet Middle School Coaches and learn more about the next level of cross country/running within the Carmel community.
-In light of the Middle School Coach Meeting…there is a NEW RACE ORDER for this meet. The race order will be: 4th grade girls; 4th grade boys; 5th grade girls; 5th grade boys. Sorry for the change, but it makes the most sense.
