Remote Support Software - Computer Remote Support Software

Remote Support Software

Welcome to my site.

This site contains information on a computers, desktops, PCs, perhaps some Apple/Mac stuff.

A support service that I have found and I believe has really helped me help others. The on-demand remote support service is not as well known as some of the larger, and I mean larger, companies that provide remote computer support software and services for the pc remote support market. Some of the well known names that most everyone in the tech support or computer applications developement and support industry are somewhat familiar with or at least have heard of them, include webex and gotoassist. I must add that these products are very useful and are a fantastic technical achievement. I have used both of these, both for providing support to remote desktop users and for getting support, and several other packages available.

There are undoubtedly, more that thse solutions for remote support to choose from, they all give computer techies a way to get remote control of comptuers through the Internet and have a varying degree of bells and whistles. For offering remote desktop support software to give tech support assistance remotely, the featuers are fine but if means taking a few of them out to lkeep the price down, I'm all for that as these and others have one major problem, their price.

For a small company, consultants, or pc techs who are just trying to help their family and friends out (or of course earn a little cash on the side), these packages can create a budget situation. The system I've tried for remote support software and remote pc tech support is just a fraction of the price. You still get the same basic features like file transfer, chat, and of course remote access and control of computers on the web. It just costs a whole lot less less that the big corporations charge.

I split the rest of this to another page. So if you want, click here to read and learn more . . .

Reviews, or at least just my opinion, of recent new desktops I've worked on and software I've worked with are coming...

My favorite PC manufacturers:

                               Dell.com       HP.com

I prefer HP's desktop PC systems a more than a little better than Dell's offerings, they seem to be more reliable long term and I've never had a problem with one right out of the box as I've had recently with Dell's desktop systems. Their servers are definately prefered by me over Dell's. Although they are really in step with each other so features and hardware you can find in one, you can surely find in the other. I really prefer HP printers over any other brand but this site is for desktops and servers. I can't really say why but I guess in short, they just seem to be faster than the Dell pc systems. I can have two systems, on from each of the desktop makers, that are very comparable to each other and the HP just seems to out perform the dell system every time.

Some of this may be due to how much support services each of them put into the system. These programs are supposed to help the system maintain software updates and also to keep the system secure by alerting the desktop user. Often when I disable these services, of course because I have replaced them with other software that will protect the system just as well if not better without the additional overhead, I see a performance increase.

One of the features I like most about the dells is the service tag. Dell has been tagging their systems with a unique service tag for ever since I could remember, and the system works. HP over the years has done a lot better too. Although in my opinion, they were one of the best at providing drivers for both their computers and for their printers, it was sometimes challenging to find the computer desktop related driver such as BIOS, video, or chipsets, etc. I noticed over the last few years they have greatly improved their sites search engines which has made finding drivers for the desktop hardware much better.
