Stretch Splodge as he is affectionately known is what some consider the
stabilising factor in the crazy world of Splodgenessabounds. How he's
still sane after all these years with Max beats me. Organising the gigs,
beer, the after gig sessions, rounding up the lads before they're arrested,
the travel, the problems et al are all his concern. I wonder if the Queen
would consider giving him an O.B.E. or something like that for services
rendered. Splodgenessabounds can be contacted at

Iain / Captain K (Beerzone)

Captain K as Iain likes to be known as is the lead singer of those
Scottish punks, Beerzone. Formed in 1997, they've been kicking ass
since and despite a few line up alterations are always known to give
a great live performance. The best part of a Beerzone show for me is
when Iain starts ranting in his Scottish accent in between songs at
whoever has pissed him off , be that , stage security , boy bands,
and anyone who has crossed him that day. You can check out the lads
on their website at www.beerzone.net .

Steve Battershill - Lost Cherrees.
Steve battershill of the Lost Cherrees has been around a while.
He and the band have had their fair share of ups and downs but
for them the gigging, recording and the music makes it all
worthwhile. As a young teenager in '78, Steve was the right age
at the right time and formed the band with some mates and
learned the hard way. Touring and playing at the bottom rung
of the ladder, working their way up after forming in 1980 they
went through the inevitable line up changes replacing,
guitarists , drummers and singers. Steve hung in there though
and the band had their first EP out in 1982 followed up by a
second one in 1983, hitting the top 5 in the indie charts. This
was followed up by their first full album and several inclusions
on compilation LP's, but the endless touring, rows, getting
ripped off and time was taking it's toll on the band and they
eventually split in 1986. But in 2002 Steve decided to reform
the band and found themselves back in the scene and wanted.
They played gigs up and down the country and followed those
up with dates in the USA and at festivals such as Wasted.
Steve is a voiciferous supporter of FATHERS FOR JUSTICE ,
and found himself in and out of court for a year following his
demonstration on top of Tower Bridge in London. he is at the
moment organising a Stig tribute cd, as well as a Joe Strummer
one. So catch Steve and the rest of the Cherrees crew on the
road and watch out for their album being released in 2006.
