Here are the results of the two year poll carried out by us, a phenominal 18,695 votes were cast in this category alone. Congratulations to all those that made the top 50 out of a poll of 87 guitarists. More importantly, well done to Olga, who ironically wanted to be a bass player to begin with back in the early days. So well done for winning the poll. Even though we would all have our favourites there is no doubt that Olga's brilliance as a guitarist and showman stretched across the punk world, with fans of all bands voting for him. On a sadder note, I had been talking to Nidge Miller a couple of weeks ago about him coming in fifth on the poll before he was tragically killed in Texas last week. He was well chuffed and laughed as he said "I bet that's ruffled a few feathers then!". So to those that voted for Nidge, he was aware of your votes and how highly his fans rated him and he appreciated it.
