I'm Rob Martin and I was a yearlister. Admitting there is a problem is the first step. 2005 was my one shot, so I got drunk, went to Ireland twice and brought home the longest county yearlist achieved in Britain and Norfolk (same thing...). This website appeared, gushing pure birding drama into the lives of those caught in the frenzy. The opposition were classic soap scum; the unbeaten champ and record holder Robin Abel, gangland accountant Gary White, random factor Ilya Maclean and Chris Mills on a bike. I assembled some legends (meet the team) and the battles raged across Norfolk. Here is my record of the record year.
