Billie Joe's World

It's all about Billie Joe

Guitar Tabs

Guitar tabs...I'll always be adding, since I am currently taking guitar lessons, so I'll add what I know from my guitar teacher. You're lucky, because, even if the tabs are wrong, they sound the same because my teacher basically plays them by ear in a simplified way...and some are by different bands, ya know, if you're interested in other than Green Day songs.Good luck!

When I Come Around -- Has most of the song, just needs the other half of the solo and you're all set. And that half will come soon.

Brain Stew -- Need I say more? Of course it's the whole song.

Vampires Will Never Hurt You by My Chemical Romance -- The way the tabs would be for a lead guitarist in a band with a rhythm guitarist.

WHEN I COME AROUND

Key:
| = Palm mute, in this case it's only the first E. (First is obviously last on the tab chart).

--> = Keep your finger pressed on the string but slide it down to required fret.

E|-------------------------|
B|---------|-|-----|-------|
G|-|-|-----6-6-6---7-7--44-|
D|-4-4-4---6-6-6---7-7--44-|
A|-4-4-4---4-4-4---5-5--22-|
E|-2-2-2-------------------|

^^Repeat this as many times as it sounds right until the choruses, which is:

E|---------------------|
B|---------------------|
G|------4444------4444-|
D|-5555-4444-5555-4444-|
A|-5555-2222-5555-2222-|
E|-3333------3333------|

^^Obviously repeat that every chorus, then you just have the solo (other half of it coming soon) chord is F for beginning, and for the slide thing, don't play the first eight fret, that's only to tell you where to slide, play the second eight though:

E|-2----2-4---4----4--222-224-444-----------|
B|--2--2---2---2--2---222-222-222-------7---|
G|---3----------3-----------------3-->8--8--|
D|----------------------------------------9-|
A|------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------|

BRAIN STEW

 Ok, so, here's the key:

x's = mean to keep your fingers on the strings, but not pressed down, so it gives you that messed up sound. You can press down a little for certain strings, so it doesn't sound empty, also because that's the way the song is conducted. It doesn't matter which strings you press down on, this song was majorly thrown together a different time each chorus.

Another thing about this song: all the chords are barre chords except obviously the last chord in the verse and the ending.

E|----------------------|
B|----------------------|
G|-66---44---33---22-11-|
D|-77---55---44---33-22-|
A|-77---55---44---33-22-|
E|----------------------|

^^Repeat as many times as you think it sounds right, until chorus which is:

E|----xxxxxx----xxxxxx----xxxxxx-------|
B|----xxxxxx----xxxxxx----xxxxxx-------|
G|-66-xxxxxx-44-xxxxxx-33-xxxxxx-22-11-|
D|-77-xxxxxx-55-xxxxxx-44-xxxxxx-33-22-|

A|-77-xxxxxx-55-xxxxxx-44-xxxxxx-33-22-|
E|----xxxxxx----xxxxxx----xxxxxx-------|

^^Repeat about twice. Play those riffs as many times as it sounds right until the ending: which is where you basically play the same as first riff, except you unbarre the chords, but you put your first finger on the last first E string (which is last on the tab chart). And then, to play this next riff, you hit the first E (last on chart) twice and then strum all the strings and let them ring however long it sounds right, then continue with the next chords.

E|----------------------|
B|----------------------|
G|----6------4------3---|
D|----7------5------4---|
A|----7------5------4---|
E|-22-----22-----22-----|

^^And then for the last two chords, just strum around a bit, however way sounds right to you. Repeat that riff how many times it sounds right.

VAMPIRES WILL NEVER HURT YOU

These would be the tabs for a band with two guitarists, this would be rhythm guitarists's riffs.

This song is pretty plain and simple. You have to play the notes/power chords pretty fast though.

E|-------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------|
A|-77777777-55555555-33333333-66666666-|
E|-------------------------------------|

^^Repeat this through the whole song pretty much besides the choruses, which is:

E|-------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------|
D|-99999999-77777777-55555555-88888888-|
A|-77777777-55555555-33333333-66666666-|
E|-------------------------------------|

^^For chorus, repeat that riff how many times sounds right for the chorus.
