8/14/07 - Hiya. Site news is, I have added a Guitar Tabs page! Yes, we are taking that extra step...since October does lyrics, and she don't know anything 'bout guitar anyway (HAHA!! XD) I do the tabs. Yes I play guitar ^_^.
Billie Joe is shown briefly in the trailer for the upcoming punk documentary "Punk's Not Dead". According to NME, "The film is an exploration of the evolution of punk rock featuring dozens of interviews with prominent punk artists as well as rare concert footage." Green Day are mentioned to be featured alongside the Ramones, NOFX, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Sum41, MCR, and some other bands. I will tell y'all when I watch it, and I'll put it in the Movies section when I DO watch it. ^_^ Yes I am very nice aren't I?
Sadly I have not watched the Simpsons yet (I am DYING! LITERALLY!), so don't rub it in. -_-. But I am going to buy Knocked Up since their is a Green Day mention in there as well...it is currently not out yet though. My mom's the one who mentioned it, I just said "We should get it" so she can't blame me for buying it when she finds out there's a Green Day mention in there.

8/11/07 Heya! Sorry for the site being sort of shut down for a while and everything, it's just been alot of stuff for a while. But it's ok, Billie Joe's World is officially back on the ball! I've also added a Warning banner, as you can see, to the top of the page! And, I added a My Stories page.
As for Green Day news, it's not much except Instant Karma has been released and you can hurry now to the movie theatre to watch The Simpsons to see everyone's favorite boys in cartoon form! ;] See ya's.

5/28/07 Heyo! Not much has been happen'! Sorry about the lack of up-dates. Sydney wants me to post this for her. Insta Karma will hopefully be released June 12, 2007. So all you Green day lovers need to camp out at best buy! That's what I'll do if I get to! Well, bye for now kiddies!

4/8/07 So sorry for lack of updates! But anyway, I have the Easter banner, so click here for it. HAPPY EASTER! Ok, the news is...Here's an article Billie Joe wrote about The Sex Pistols in a 2005 issue of Rolling Stone. A botanist (scientist that works with plants) from Switzerland emailed the NRDC to let them know of a plant he and his students discovered and named after Green Day. The plant, named Macrocarpaea dies-viridis (dies-viridis is Latin for Green Day), was found in February 2006 in Ecuador. You can read more about this on the Green Day + NRDC Blog. Green Day will be along with other bands like Blink 182, Bad Religion, Rancid, Offspring and others in the upcoming documentary about the punk scene in the 1990's. The film, titled "One Nine Nine Four", is being made by an Australian independent production company, and is expected to be released in 2008. Read full article.

Green Day landed on the Definitive 200 list created by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, twice. The lists presents the top 200 albums, and Green Day came in at 50 with Dookie and 61 with American Idiot. Welcome to Paradise is being used in the trailer for the new animated movie 'Surfs Up' coming out June 8th. Click here to watch the trailer.

3/24/07 OMG! Y'all have to hear this! Billie Joe, Mike and Tre recently autographed a green 26" Sledgehammer BMX bicycle by Volume Bikes, and it has been put up for online auction. Proceeds of the auction will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society/Greater Los Angeles Chapter, so check it out! And that's not it. Glitter in the Gutter is the new album from NYC's Jesse Malin, an artist who has transcended tags like "singer/songwriter" for something different and largely indefinable. Instead of going with brand-name record companies like Atlantic or Columbia, Glitter in the Gutter is being released on Adeline Records. As his manager Diane Gentile explains, "Jesse is excited that he has this opportunity to put out a record on a cool indie label where the owners are the people that make the label decisions and truly appreciate the value of great songwriting." That's pretty much it.

3/17/07 Heyo, and HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!! Hope y'all are having a good day. Well, here's the scoop: Billie Joe is part of Emily's Army, a family based working to fund a cure for CF (a really bad life-threatening genetic disease, which affects approximately 30,000 in the U.S.). He's under the Supporters part of the site, no one knows how long he's been a supporter.
Also under the supporters page is one of The Becker Family, which are friends of the family involved in creating Emily's Army. The Becker Family have donated many things, including Green Day tickets in Australia to the cause. It is wondered if it's the same Becker Family that went to the Kid's Choice Awards with Billie Joe and his family on April 1, 2006. Credit given to GSB for last paragraph of news, I copied and pasted it. Who knows if it's the same Becker family? But anyway, that's pretty much it. Oh! Almost forgot, y'all's St. Patty's day banner! Click here for the banner. By the way, guess what October found on the Internet? 3/14/07 Heyo. Since I don't have much time to type all the updates out, I'll copy and paste the last two updates from GDA (all credit given to GDA):
Green Day + NRDC is putting the final touches on the new video featuring Adrienne and 100 photos of Green Day + NRDC activists. They sent out emails to the folks who got selected, and sent emails to the folks who didn't get selected, letting them know that they suck at life.
Here's some local Green Day news for a couple places around the globe. For those of you in Latin America, A&E will be airing Bullet in a Bible on Sunday, March 18th at 9pm.
If you're in the Sacramento, CA area; 106.5 KWOD will be celebrating St. Patricks (3/17) by playing Green Day songs all day.
Green Day will be recording the John Lennon song "Working Class Hero"
(original: lyrics | video) for the upcoming CD 'Instant Karma'. A video for the song is also expected. The album is being produced to benefit Amnesty International, which is trying to end the genocide in Darfur. Other expected artists include everyone from Willie Nelson and Jack Johnson to the Black Eyed Peas and The Cure. Current release date is June 12.
The fact that they're recording that song makes this photo (from the Nov. 2005 issue of Rolling Stone) all the more meaningful.

3/4/07 Heyo. OMG! Listen to this: A company called Baby Rock Records is putting out a Green Day CD with Green Day songs on it as lullabies. Sounds weird, but let's play it by ear. Click this for more. 
Green Day and U2 are nominated for Best Hook Up MTV Australia Music Video Awards, vote for them here. Zakk Wylde, the guitarist for Ozzy, gave Billie Joe, I suppose, it's a complement...when asked who could handle his guitar? In an interview for Brazillian magazine:
"That bastard Billie Armstrong(Green Day's leader) is a son of a bitch really good when composing some cool riffs. He doesn't solo shit, but... Fuck, those songs of his group are so cool even without having a fucking solo."
so, that's cool I guess. But I really want that CD. I'm probably gonna get it as soon as I see it, so I'll type up a little review for y'all after I get it. Bye!

2/24/07 Heyo. I'm going to add new pics on this page soon to replace the other two, so don't worry about that. Anyway, the visual artists who worked on "The Saints Are Coming" music video were given an award for 'Outstanding Visual Effects in a Music Video' on February 11th, by the Visual Effects Society. Lucky bunch. The visual artists also worked on some real news footage from Hurrican Katrina and making it look like a huge military response were there. 2/20/07 I know, no pics? Where's the warning sign? Well, I just accidently deleted this whole page. So please excuse the emptiness. First of all: I'm going to be adding more facts soon to the Misc. page.
