Welcome to the newly born official site for the completed novel, The Inscription. This is a website run by the author (myself) Rebekah White. An updated (still being edited) version of the text can be found here: http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2339796/1/
The Inscription, is, in short, the quintessential fictional story. It follows the tumultuous summer of an ordinary teenage girl named Meg Cole, an intelligent loner clinging to a past marred by death and lost love. Having given up all faith on society over a year ago, Meg journeys from her upstate New York home to the welcoming safety of her aunt's home in Orlando, Florida, accompanied by her younger sister, Sabrina. At the airport, Meg accidentally meets a charming young man dubbed, ironically, John Doe. His intentions are clear: he's attracted to her. A romance soon blossoms, occasionally marred by Meg's obsession with the past and John's unbreakable tether to his family and job.
However, before Meg can seriously contemplate a future with John, she meets another stranger, this time in the form of an old, mysterious old man. His name is Zeke Jenkins, who, like Meg, is a loner with plenty of secrets of his own. On a hot day in June, he introduces Meg and her family to secrets that she'll soon wish she never uncovered...

“I don’t think you can see everything. What about anger? Love? You can’t see them. And you don’t always know what’s going to happen. ... it was the same with falling in love with him. You don’t know these things until you experience them yourself. Nothing changes that, no matter how many harlequin romance novels you read.”
