CREATE AN ARTIST CORPS: Barack Obama supports the creation of an "Artists Corps" of young artists trained to work in low-income schools and their communities. Studies in Chicago have demonstrated that test scores improved faster for students enrolled in low-income schools that link arts across the curriculum than scores for students in schools lacking such programs.

Wondering where to start?

Our site is full of fun ways to get involved in the Arts! We've worked hard to make it easy to get around, but if you're visiting for the first time, it may be confusing. Here's a little checklist of things to look for while you're browsing:

Top Navigation Bar - At the top of every page, we have links to the five main sections of our site: Home, Opportunity, Advocacy, Competition, and Exposure. All pages, across the whole site, are linked to these five sections. Clicking any of those five titles will take you to the home page of that section.
Site Map - Every section has its own navigation down the side of the page. In the side navigation, you will notice a little worm that peeks up to alert you to the Site Map link. The Site Map outlines the entire site, by section and page. The Site Map is also the first link of the Home section Directory, (info below).

Artist Index - There are, "Clubs", throughout the site that are free and open for everyone to join. The Exposure section in particular, (called Paragon), has twelve different artistic channels where Club Members may post in the blogs, forums, photo galleries, video galleries, and calendars. Artists who contribute to these areas are listed in our Artist Index. Look for the magnifying glass along the side navigation.

Directory - Found in the side navigation of the Home section, (also included in the Artist Index), this area contains links to specific areas you might be interested in.

About Us - The About Us page gives more information about each section, and has sub-links to pages full of the who, what, and where of Pensacola Talent Show.
