Short-Term Health Insurance
Do you need health insurance right away? If you can answer "NO" to three health questions, you can be covered by comprehensive health insurance by midnight TONIGHT!
Here are a few features of this excellent product from Assurant Health (formerly Time Insurance / Fortis Health):
1. Your coverage can be effective as soon as TOMORROW if you pay online with a credit card. You can download your policy and ID card immediately!
2. You have a wide choice of deductibles, from $250 - $2500 ($5000 on some plans).
3. You may use any provider, or you can use the PHCS provider network for substantial savings.
4. Please note that on HIGHER deductibles, ($1000 or more on the up-to-6-months plan, $2500 or more on the up-to-12-months plan), there is only ONE deductible per FAMILY instead of THREE per family as on lower deductibles. (This makes taking a higher deductible much less intimidating!)
5. Optional: If you purchase the ACCIDENT MEDICAL EXPENSE benefit, your deductible will be WAIVED in the event of an accident.
6. Optional: Dental/Vision coverage is also available very inexpensively. Be sure to read the details online.
IMPORTANT:
* Not everyone will qualify for this coverage. You can be declined if you have serious health problems. Read the health questions carefully.
* To keep costs low, pre-existing conditions are not covered.
* You can keep this plan for up to TWELVE (12) MONTHS. When your coverage expires, you may be able to apply for another policy if you still need short-term coverage.
