Our Mission
Our vision at the David A. Boody I.S. 228 for Magnet Studies is to offer a collaborative, challenging, learning environment that encourages all students to achieve academically and personally, and to be educated, integrated, confident, and responsible participants in our society. Our mission is to: offer a standards-driven curriculum towards academic excellence in literacy and technology; enable our faculty with the staff development necessary to achieve our goals; foster a partnership with parents and guardians, so they may be actively involved in the education of their children; provide a diverse, respectful environment where students of all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds are welcomed; enable all students to develop an awareness of their responsibilities to themselves, their family, school community, country, and the world; enable students to make an easy transition from elementary to middle school, and middle school to high school.

LEARNING LEADERS TRAINING SESSIONS
If you are interested in becoming a Learning Leader (donate 1 hour or more a week to help children read, etc.), training sessions will be held on November 10th, 20th, and 21st at 9AM. The School Leadership Team meets on the first Monday of each month at 3:15 PM.

The PTA will be selling TRI-BOARDS. All students are required to make a Science and Social studies Project this year.
We are selling the boards for $5.00 for one board; or $9.00 for two. This price is below the Staples price, so if you can, please support the PTA. The money will go right back to supporting your the school! Triboards are available now from the PTA in room 115 or room 111.
