Chaotic Sanctum

Welcome to the Chaotic Sanctum! I am not really sure what kind of site you would call this, so I will leave that up to you to decide. The date of this post is when I originally created this website; I will never change it. Back then, I believe the only thing I wanted to do was host my animated GIFs of random attacks from Rockman.EXE 3.

These days I just upload stuff people might want to read or refer to. These are usually DOC or DOCX files. DOC files are Microsoft Word 97-2003 Document and DOCX is used by the Word found on Vista (I HATE Vista, but my laptop has it. Ugh...). In order to view DOCX files with an older version of Word, you will need to get some sort of compatibility thing. My Word prompted me to download it. If yours does not, I do not have specific instructions on how to help you. My best advice is to look around on the official Microsoft website. I realized that I was using too many Word Documents at some point, so now I use many TXT files for the minor things that are not fancy. It is a lot quicker, and I certainly value speed.

 

Hm. It seems that I have forgotten to introduce myself. Is there some formal manner of doing this? Probably not. My most common handle is "Psycho K," but I'm often just called "K." That's a capital "K." This is very important. You can attempt to call me something else, but you are probably putting yourself into more trouble than you need to. Psycho K is a major character in my canon tale that I may never complete. The etymology of such a name is pretty easy. "Psycho" just looked like something neat to throw on at first, but now it refers to the "psycho-" prefix used for words that involve mental stuff. "K" is the first letter in my first name. Psycho is the embodiment of darkness (not evil. This is important), so he is pretty much a god. Drayxc is the opposite god, the embodiment of light. I may give Psycho an alternate name similar to his.

 

Now I will tell you a few things that are useful to know. This site is edited in a maximized window on Firefox, so it is very likely to look best if you view it the same way. Any date you see on this page is formatted as month/day/year since I am an American ("...IN AMERICA!"). The date shown to the left of a title is the oldest date I have on record for when the file was uploaded. I will figure out a system to help you keep track of updates soon enough.

 

This post will remain at the top of this page. The posts under this one are listed from newest to oldest.

Meh. A bit frustrating, so I might be a bit short with this one. No, this site has not been given up on. I just take loads of time to get anything done. Seriously, it has been ages.

 

This site has been renamed to "Chaotic Sanctum" since that is actually a location in my canon tale which needs an insane amount of work. Also the official font for the page will be Book Antiqua (10 pt). I do not like Georgia anymore and Times New Roman looks disgusting on certain resolutions, I guess. It does not on my laptop, but on my desktop, ever since Firefox 3, it looks bold even though it is not. That has always been the case for this site. My Word documents will still use Times New Roman though. I think I like it because it is so compact and has serifs.

 

I cannot give you any reliable promises, so I will not. Oh, that avatar thing I had for each of my posts...I'm not using it anymore. I have my reasons. By "using" it, I mean with the whole talking thing. I haven't the time for that and my concept changed as well. Be sure to note that I recolored it to something I liked more. Hooray for paying a bit more attention to Photoshop:



Previously that was a red sky and the statue was darker and had a green head crystal. I will remind you where I got it from: Rockman.EXE 3. It was the Guardian chip. This chip was in EXE 2-6. The chip artwork got smaller with the graphical changes introduced in EXE 4 and onward. Why do I like it so much? One word: Punisher.

That appears to be pretty small doesn't it? Well, it wasn't. It took me several days to get this done. Why? Because I reorganized a lot of things here. First of all, this site was being helped out by three other dummy pages named "psycho_K(insert number here)." The music files took up loads of space so I was forced to use them. Also, the amount of time it took to download them from here was insane and I'm sure no one seriously waited unless they were desperate.

 

So, I decided to host them on PutFile so you can listen to them. Then if you like it, you can download it through RapidShare. It's definetely way quicker than what I had set up before. However, there is a limit to how long I can have the files up:

 

"...even we have to clean up our drives from time to time, so we will delete files that have not been accessed for 30 days or longer. Premium-users don't have to worry about this. We NEVER delete your files until you cancel your membership."

 

I need 10,000 points to get a 30 day Premium account (if I recall right). I currently have 1. So, it's not going to happen (unless this site suddenly got mad exposure and popularity). This means that I'm going to have to re-upload many of the music files every 30 days. This will mean I have to make new links for them as well and doing that for over 30 songs is a little annoying, but not unbearable. I believe I put them up on the night of the 6th so by November 5th I'll have to put them up again. Alternatively, I can simpyl see to it that all of them are accessed at least once within that time, I guess. Either way, I should probably make an update in that process as well. There's a good bundle of things that were left out in this update y'know.

 

Getting back to what I previously said, my files were scatttered amongst those sites. Now that the music files are elsewhere (they consumed MONSTER space), I have everything on this page. Meaning, I had to delete those dummy sites and re-upload the files to their respective locations. Even on RapidShare, uploading music takes a bit of time, and you have to double the fact when I was doing it on PutFile too.

 

Then there was the renaming process. Freeewebs does nto cooperate with symbols very well. It reads spaces as "%20" and dashes as "%5" and the like. Heck, even undercores come in that notation. A file like...

 

"Games are absolutely BRILLIANT!.doc"

 

...would appear at the end of a URL as:

 

"/Games%20are%20absolutely%20BRILLIANT%10.doc."

 

Nasty, isn't it? Therefore, I employed the only thing that did work. Dots!

 

Ex: "/Games.are.absolutely.BRILLIANT.doc"

 

Aren't I a genius? >_> Oh, I forgot to mention a lot of those updates were done way back and I just neve rnoted them till now. I'm gonna try getting back to an organized routine. See you guys next time.

*(10/13/06. Wtf, Rapidshare deleted my music today. That was not supposed to happen. Oh well, I put them back up painstakingly. Hopefully they stay up for 30 days like they are supposed to. Maybe it's because it's Friday the 13th...)

Yeah, I'm addicted to Rockman EXE 6 (Actually, I have the English one...). Guardian also happens to be a standard chip now, but you can still only have one per folder. It's a shame. Well, I don't have much more to say. I've got lots more stuff to update with at a another time. I did hear something rather interesting though. I hear that a recent JMS patch reduced Assassin's Drain to 30% when maxed. That will really suck when it hits GMS. Originally it was 60%, now 45%....and now they reduce us to 30%? Yeah, I understand that they may be trying to deter the massive amount of claw thieves there are, but seriously.

 

If they proceeed with this crazy nerfing, I don't know what I'll do. They should be getting rid of the hackers and making Scania smaller. Bah. Well, that's all for now.

Goddamn. If I only had time to tell you how many things have been going on lately. It has been a hectic and stressing period. Even now I've very pressed for time. As for the title, it's based of the Maple Story monster "Gigantic Spirit Viking" which is currently the most powerful mass spawning monster one can hunt. I'm not that powerful yet sadly. There is another change I wanted to make, but I can't.  Stupid "no 750k+ files while your account is less than 7 days old" rule. Yes, I made a third support page for this one. Songs take up huge amounts of space. Oh well.

 

I have plans for a lot more writing as always. Though that may be divided by time on Endless Frontier. I finally am about to get working on Chapter 1. We'll see what happens.
