Pokemon Piracy
BELLEVUE, Wash.—April 7, 2008 – Pokemon USA, Inc., a worldwide leader in trading card games, today announced the results of recent anti-piracy actions taken in cooperation with Nintendo of America Inc. to combat the production and distribution of counterfeit Pokemon® Trading Card Game products.
On March 26, law enforcement officials in New York raided seven stores known to be selling fraudulent Pokemon Trading Card Game merchandise. Thousands of products were seized and several arrests were made. In early April, one action at a production facility in China secured nearly 1.2 million counterfeit cards and investigations continue.
During the past 16 months, more than 47 million counterfeit products have been seized at production facilities in Thailand, Singapore, Poland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Australia, and China. One seizure in China in 2007 netted more than 26 million illegally produced cards. Nintendo and Pokemon will continue to target the retailers and manufacturers trafficking in counterfeit Pokemon product.
“Pokemon wants to send a message to importers and producers that we will not stand for the distribution of fraudulent Pokemon product,” says Pokemon spokesperson, J.C. Smith. “Pokemon is committed to ensuring our fans receive the quality product they've come to expect.”
Pokemon Dungeon # 2, Official US Release Date
Nintendo has finally released the release date of the upcoming Mystery Dungeon sequels; Explorers of Time & Darkness. Both versions are set to be out in US on April 20th 2008. These games feature all the current Pokémon in a variety of dungeons.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 has two versions like the previous games; Explorers of Time & Explorers of Darkness. It follows the same style of game as the previous games, however instead of rescuing, your main objective is exploring.
Like in the first game, your character is a human that has turned into a Pokémon and has to find out why and how to return to being a Pokémon. However, on this quest, you get sidetracked, there are numerous legends in the land and your partner insists that you make an expedition team and search the new land, exploring wherever you can. There are 16 Pokémon that you can be.
This game utilises the Nintendo WiFi Connection in order for you to be able to help friends whom are stuck in dungeons. An easier way than using passwords.
There are a variety of long dungeons within the game and as such, all 491 Pokémon revealed at release are obtainable within the game one way or another. However, you cannot get all of them without linking up with a friend who has the other game
There's a variety of new aspects to the game aswell, for one, you can get Eggs as rewards for the missions. These Eggs hatch into a base form of the Pokémon from that dungeon and contain random egg moves as well. You can link moves as with the first game and find treasure chests with a variety of rare and powerful items

All gameplay elements from the past game have returned including the randomisation of the dungeons so you aren't just repeating yourself and the recruiting of new Pokémon to your Exploration Team so you shall be able to quickly get into the game if you have played the previous ones
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2: Time/Space Exploration Team!
The long-awaited next game in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series has been released in Japan. Yes, that's right, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time Exploration Team and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Space Exploration Team!
The two games feature at least 490 Pokemon in them, and they feature an entirely new storyline. It is not a direct sequel from the first Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games (Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team), but it does follow the same style of gameplay and premise.

New Pokemon Cards! (Secret Wonders)
September 10, 2007 — Pokemon USA Inc., a worldwide leader in the trading card game industry, today announced the latest Pokemon Trading Card Game expansion, Diamond & Pearl—Secret Wonders, will be released on November 7. The expansion features more than 130 cards, including even more brand-new Pokemon for players to collect for the very first time.
In Secret Wonders, players travel deeper into the Sinnoh region, where they will discover more exciting Pokemon. Pokemon with different versions, each with distinct characteristics; Pokemon with Items that continue to give awesome advantages; more of the useful Unown that work so well as a group; and additional Pokemon LV.X all come together to make Secret Wonders a secret worth uncovering!
The Pokemon TCG: Diamond & Pearl—Secret Wonders expansion will be available in two 60-card theme decks—Powerhouse and Lavaflow—as well as in booster packs. Theme decks and booster packs go on sale in stores on November 7, priced at $11.99 for the theme decks and $3.79 for the booster packs. Each booster pack features 10 randomly inserted game cards. Theme decks include a unique coin, an updated rulebook, card list, a one-player playmat and damage counters.
Pokemon Food?!
Pokemon USA is launching a back to school promotion with Armour-Eckrich's LunchMakers, they will be putting the new Diamond and Pearl Pokemon on 30 million packages of the portable, refrigerated meals. They hit shelves later this month and last till November.
Packages will tout 10,000 Pokemon prizes in the instant-win sweeps, including 10 trips to New York's Nintendo World to visit the Pokemon Center, Nintendo DS units, Diamond and Pearl videogames, DVDs from licensee Viz and character figures from Jakks-Pacific. And it wouldn't be Pokemon if there wasn't a card to collect: Each product package contains a bookmark featuring a different Pokemon character.
Pokemon Movies!
A 10th Anniversary Commemorative Set was announced on the official Japanese Pokemon site featuring pokemon from all ten motion pictures. The set will feature Mewtwo, Lugia, Entei, Celebi, Latias, Latios, Jirachi, Deoxys, Mew, Lucario and Manaphy. Darkrai can be obtained at Movie 10's screenings. Darkrai will be limited to 4.2 million copies.
Manaphy Giveaway!
Participating Toys 'R' Us stores across the United States will give away the legendary Pokemon Manaphy on Sept. 29th 2007 12:00 PM(Noon) to 3:00PM, it will be in a cherish ball, and holding a red scarf, no info on what level you get it at, but you will need to have a Nintendo DS and a copy of Diamond or pearl to receive Manaphy.
