About NPCC

Introduction
The National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC), formed in 1959, has a membership of about 20,000 cadets. The NPCC has been set up in 155 secondary schools in Singapore, Peirce Secondary NPCC Unit being one of them.

The Mission
The mission of the National Police Cadet Corps is to develop its cadets into caring and responsible citizens.

The Vision
The vision of the National Police Cadet Corps is to mould the builders of a safe and secure home.

About PSSNPCC

Peirce Secondary School National Police Cadet Corps [PSSNPCC] formed in 1994, is one of the pioneer CCAs of the school. We have a membership of 117 cadets, 5 Cadet Inspectors and 5 teacher officers. Our OC for year 2005 A/ASP Mr Tan Yaw Jin, is also the parade commander for this year's 46th Annual NPCC Day Parade. We are being awarded the Overall Unit Proficiency Bronze Award for the 4th consecutive year and are continuing to strive for the better.

NPCC Heritage Tour.

9 NCOs together with 15 cadets went on a heritage tour on 25th July'06 at police heritage centre located at new phoenix park. We get to learn things that we do not usually get to know when in NPCC trainings. All of us found the tour very beneficial and interesting as it adds to our knowledge of NPCC history.

NPCC Area 4 games day 2006.

On the 15th july, we gathered at Peirce Secondary school for attendance taking. Then, we made our way to Bishan park secondary school. The Area 4 games day was officially opened by the OC of Bishan Park Secondary school after the briefing. There were mainly 6 games in total, soccer, floorball, basketball girls and boys, netball, telematch and air rifle. Peirce netball, badminton team, respectively the girls and boys teams and telematch team won the gold medal for Peirce Secondary. YEAH NESS!!! Followed up was the prize presentation and prizes were given out to all the prize winners of all different games.

NPCC Road Safety Park.

On the 16th June 2006. 8 cadets accompanied by 1 teacher-officer and 3 NCOs went to the East Coast Road Safety Park for a road marshal course. The training is organized for our sec 1 cadets to gain more experience on being a road marshal and getting them prepared for next year, when they get to be road marshals in uniform. The training lasted for about 2hrs and 30min. When they got back from the training, the looks are like they are ready to be a road marshal in action!

NPCC SANA course.

At 7.30am, the Sec 2 met at Sengkang community hub to attend the SANA (organized by Singapore Anti Narcotics Association)course. There were other schools taking the course too. The course was about anti drug abuse and to be a drug transfer agent. It is a one full day course from 8.30am to 5pm. Besides being a drug transfer agent, we too, took a written test on drugs.

NPCC Total defence Exhibition.

A Total Defence Exhibition was held at whitley secondary school.our sec 2 cadets went to view the intresting exhibits and posters which were displayed there.Followed by an entertaining video, which was created by one of the polytechnics in Singapore.Cold beverages were then served.i bet the sec 2's realy learnt alot from this exhibition.

NPCC classification shoot.

our sec 3's went to the police academy for their classification shoot.held on the 10th febuary 2006.5 of them luqman,vivein,annie,joe,wilson.Out of the many sec 3's who went for the shoot,the 5 of them did exceptionaly well and were awarded the marksmanship badges.congratulations to the 5 of them!

Secondary 1 swearing-in ceremony.

This event wa held on the 22nd of April'2006 at peirce secondry school.All the secondary 1 in area 4 sec 1s came together for the swearing-in ceremony and pledging to be cadets of NPCC. The rehearsal of this ceremony was held on the 17th of april. The station inspectors from the area 4 school came.

NPCC Area 4 & inter-unit campcraft competition.

Well done both campcraft girls and boys teams! On 21 January 2006, the National Police Cadet Corps Area 4 Campcraft Competition 2006 was held at Whitley Secondary School and both girls and boys teams achieved a 1st runner up position. Congratulations!

Congratulations again to both the campcraft teams! On both 18 febuary 2006 and on 25 febuary, the National Police Cadet Corps inter-unit campcraft competition was held at Police Academy and the boys team achieved the 48th position and the girls team achieved the 16th postion out of all the schools on Singapore. Great job teams!

NPCC Area 4 Inter-Unit Games Day 2005.

Well Done Peirceans! We have made history in becoming the Overall Champion for this year's Games Day held at Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School.
We were also awarded the challenge shield by our Area Commandant, Mr Azman.
Congratulations to all!
Especially cadets who participated in the games and brought glory to Peirce.
