Puget Sound Nerf Squad

Nerf on!

Locations

Aside from the occasional, spontaneous dorm match, most of our matches are organized in larger, reserved spaces. Below is an alphabetical list of all of these spaces, plus descriptions, pictures, and maps (click on the maps to see them larger).

Jefferson Park

Jefferson Park is the mediocre match area. It has some tree cover, but the frequent pedestrians and the distance from campus keep this from being an excellent location. Despite that, it is still free and almost always available.

Proctor Street Bridge

The Proctor Street Bridge is one of the best locations available for smaller-sized matches. The trail running underneath the bridge makes it a public and legal place to play, but its remote location defers would-be pedestrians. The slew of trees on either side of the bridge and "Foam Valley," the open area in the middle, make it ideal for side-based games such as capture the flag or assault. It is about twelve blocks away from campus, but trust us: WORTH IT!

REMEMBER: Call time out at the sight of any pedestrians.

Todd Field

Todd Field doesn't provide much cover except for a few trees on the far west side, but it is on campus and easy to reserve. As well, it attracts a lot of attention, which is great because Nerf is a sport where the more, the merrier.

Warner Gym

Warner Gym: It's a gym. Better than Memorial Gym, because Memorial Gym has a rule against black-soled shoes. This is probably for the better, since Memorial Gym is extremely hard to get reserved, and if it weren't for the shoe rule we'd spend all our time trying to get it reserved.
