Fingerless Thumbspin 1.5 and above

Trick name: Fingerless Thumbspin

Prerequisites: Thumbspin, fingerless thumbaround

Description: Hold the pen as you would for a fingerless thumbspin, and execute as you would for for a fingerless thumbaround, but with a little more force. As the pen starts to go around the thumb, tuck/curl your thumb in as you would in thumbspin normal, and the pen will (with practice), spin on top of the thumb.

Multiple Fingerless Thumbspins: I find that when you want to 2.5+ rotations on this trick, it is better if you start out by holding the pen not being horizontal at the start, but facing slightly upwards. To get to the correct position, hold the pen as you would for fingerless thumbaround, then tilt your wrist away from your body.
