These patches will work with any emulator except Ages. To ensure the patches do work, I recommend using Gens.
PSIV Original Patch
The Original Patch includes every battle including bosses to be harder. This ensures that every battle is a fight for your life. However you don't gain any extra experiance or Meseta than you usually would so there will be many battles.

PSIV HellMode V 2.0
This Patch has the same features as the previous two plus more. Here is a list of them:
- Added the three “Nothing Items”, altering their costs at properties and made them for sale at various shops. Nothing in Slot 5 at the Naura Cake Shop is a map of both Motavia and Dezoris. Nothing in Slot 6 at the Naura Cake Shop is Gryz’s Blood Axe. Nothing in Slot 2 at the Tyler Weapon Shop is Kyra’s Spiral Slasher.
- Fixed two original PSIV bugs: Wren no longer loses Positron Bolt uses on level 91, and Hahn’s Vision skill now adds his Mental stat to every biological character’s Dexterity, rather than just 8.
- All but the main four characters, (Chaz, Rika, Rune, Wren,) have new Techniques or Skills!
Alys: Shadowbind at Level 15, and Corrosion at Level 21.
Hahn: Ataraxia at Level 35.
Gryz is no longer a meat shield! Foi at Level 17, Gifoi at Level 23, Nafoi at Level 40, Shadowbind at Level 20, and Corrosion at Level 55.
Demi: now starts the game with Flare, but no longer has StasisBeam. (Only works with a New Game begun on this patch. Does not work the previous version of the patch.) She also learns Miracle at Level 47.
Raja: Learns Wat at Level 26, Thu at Level 29, and Githu at Level 37.
Kyra: Learns Doran at Level 32, Sar at Level 38, and Vol at Level 42.
- A couple of Easter Eggs if the player hacks Alys or Seth into the final party! Hack addresses 11882-11886 in a Save-State file hacks the current party members. Chaz = 00, Alys = 01, Hahn = 02, Rune = 03, Gryz = 04, Rika = 05, Demi = 06, Wren = 07, Raja = 08, Kyra = 09, and Seth = 0A.
Alys learns ??? at Level 60, ??? at 61, and ??? at 62. Seth learns ??? at Level 60, ??? at 61, ??? at 62, ??? at 63, and ??? at 70. When you get bored with the patch, go and see what they learn!

PSIV HellMode V 2.1
This patch has an additional feature added to it, the famous technique Feeve now has a use:
- Added the Technique Feeve to the game. This Tech costs 10 TP and boosts the Attack stat of every character, including androids, by the caster’s Mental stat. Alys learns this Tech at Level 20, Hahn learns this Tech at Level 40, and DOES NOT ever learn Rimpa due to the 16 Tech limit.

PSIV HellMode V 2.2
Ok, Version 2.2 is done! The focus of the changes is to let more characters in on the Combination Attack fun! Here are the changes:
- Flare followed by Deban (Wren or Demi/Rika) is a new Firestorm combination. St Fire and Nazan are also a new Firestorm combination. Rune’s Flaeli + Zan and Rune’s Flaeli + Gizan are no longer valid Firestorm combinations.
- Nawat and Deban (Hahn or Rune/Rika) is a new Blizzard combination. Nawat + Rune’s Hewn is no longer a valid Blizzard combination.
- Burstroc and Sweeping (Wren/Gryz) is a new Shooting Star combination. (Weird, huh? But Gryz needed something added!) Burstroc + Foi is no longer a valid Shooting Star combination.
- Nafoi, Nawat, and Nathu (Alys, Rune, Gryz, Kyra/Hahn, Rune/Chaz) are the new Triblaster combination. Foi, Wat, Tsu is no longer the valid Triblaster combination.
- Spark plus Negatis (Wren or Demi/Rune) is a new Black Hole combination. Gra + Negatis is no longer a valid Black Hole combination.
- All forms of the Destruct combination must now start with NaSar (Rika, Raja) but can be followed by Megid, Legeon, and Positron Bolt in any order. Deban will no longer work in this combo.

This is a new type of Hell Mode Patch that has a few new features. But gets a new catagory because of how difficult it is.

PSIV Purgatory Mode Mod V1.2
Here are the changes: All the Techs and Skills, save Hi-Jammer, that were made obsolete by making enemies immune to Instant Death and Status Effect attack have been replaced with useful ones.
here are the changes in the new patch in a character-by-character list:
- Chaz’s Earth Skill has been replaced with Vision. He no longer learns Brose, but instead learns Regen on level 45. He also no longer has the Skill Explode, but instead has Astral.
- Alys no longer has the Death Skill, instead she learns Flare. She no longer learns Shadowbind or Moonshadow, instead she learns Miracle on level 20 and Recover on level 24, which ONLY works in battle.
- Hahn no longer starts with Gelun, he has Gra instead. He no longer has Doran, and instead learns Deban on level 10. He also no longer has Vol, but he learns Sar on level 12. He no longer has Rimit; he learns Gigra on level 18 in its place. Lastly, he no longer has Eliminate; he has Corrosion instead.
- Rune no longer has Seals. He learns Res instead. In place of Diem he has Corrosion, and in place of Negatis he has Recover, which ONLY works in battle.
- Gryz no longer starts with Brose and Crash, instead he starts with Zan and Barrier. Replacing Shadowbind is Recover, which ONLY works in battle.
- Rika no longer starts with Illusion; she starts with Flare instead. She also no longer has Eliminate, and in its’ place she has Medice. Medice can ONLY be used OUTSIDE of battle. Using it in battle will crash the game every time.
- Demi no longer starts with Spark; she has Burst Rocket instead.
- Wren no longer starts with Spark; he has Medic Power instead.
- Raja no longer starts with Arows, Rimit, Seals or Holyword. He starts with Thu, Wat, Giwat, and Flare, respectively. He now learns Githu on level 29, Nawat on level 33, and Nathu on level 37.
- Kyra no longer starts with Rimpa or Telele. She has Wat and Vortex instead. She no longer has Doran; she has Giwat instead. In place of Bindwa she now learns Legeon. In place of Vol she learns Gisar instead.
- Seth no longer starts with Shadowbind, Mindblast, or Deathspell; he begins with Recover, that ONLY works in battle, Medice which can ONLY be used OUTSIDE of battle. Using it in battle will crash the game every time. And finally, he has Vision.

-The Eclipse Torch’s power has now been doubled. The Rykros Ring can now be equipped by Gryz, Demi, Raja, Kyra, Alys, and Seth as a helmet
-the Flame Sword, Tornado Dagger, Mahlay Dagger, Laconian Rod, and Dynamite have all had their power increased for when they are used as an item in combat.

PSIV Purgatory Mode Mod V1.4
TheKomrade renamed the NOTHING items so they read BloodAx, Algomap, Sprlsls, Neishld(TheKomrade had to remedy the 0 Nei references in this game!) The renaming causes a residual image at the Cake Shop after you finish transactions, but it doesn't hamper gameplay and disappears when you leave.
