Smackdown Goes Online Fans of the Smackdown series have been begging for an online version of their favorite wrestling series since the Network Adapter was first announced. And while most of the free world was surprised at the lack of such a feature in last year's version of Here Comes the Pain, it only made the pressure for the next installment to be online even greater. From what we've come to understand, though, the chances of such a thing happening are currently about 50/50 -- as nobody from THQ is ready to comment about any aspect of the game; including the fact that it exists.
As you might suspect, representatives from THQ declined to comment for our article as well, making the possible online future of Smackdown 6 even more of a curiosity. What makes this story even more interesting, however, is the fact that we may not even see anything about the new game until after this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo -- as it will likely be kept a secret until later in the season. That is, if it remains known as Smackdown at all.
Unfortunately there isn't much else to say about THQ's next big thing other than what's been written here. But from the sheer amount of secrecy that already shrouds its existence and feature set, we could be looking at changes even bigger than what we saw last year. Honestly, we can't wait.
