POP 13

My lifelong dream of doing a pro street car project finally came into reality, starting out in life as a Ford Popular Sit Up and Beg 1955.   Originally from the Isle of Man, nice condition and purchased by me in 2004.

Set about stripping all the parts and panels off, hence the name unlucky number 13 was chalked in the inside door panel from original.   A lovely present from my wife for that special birthday was the private number plate POP 13 (no holidays for the next 10 years)......     Removed the shell from the chassis as this was all I wanted, sold all the parts to put towards cost of pro street chassis.    

After being seriously ripped off, the police recovered my property in December 2008 and in January 2009 the shell has been taken to a professional to start again!!   Some four years on, and many thousands of pounds lighter, the project is back on track.

The Axle was built by Andy Robinson Race Cars in August 2007.

All race parts have been supplied by Lee at LA Racing Parts, along with good support and advice.

Nitrous Oxide System supplied by LA Racing Parts.

All engine rebuild work has been done by Clive Bond of Ultimate Race Cars. and completed in February 2008.
