Project Plymouth

Welcome to my webpage! I put this together to show all of you out there some of the things that I've been doing with my car. My car is a 1996 Plymouth Neon. When I bought the car, it was stock with the blue pinstripes running down the sides. As you will see, that is no longer the case.

My first project that I neglected to take any pictures of but can be seen in this picture is the clear corner markers in the front bumper. When I get some night time pictures, you will be able to see that I have converted my front turn signal lights to blue.

Now as I said, my car only had the blue pinstripes on it when I got it.

Not too impressive, huh? Well, it sure has come a long way from then.

After the clear corner markers, my next project was putting some small decals on my hood and trunk.

At this point, with only this much done to my car, I took it to my first show. I don't have any pictures from the show, where there were some nice cars, but it was fun. I thought I was going to be the only Neon showing there, but sure enough, I ended up parked beside a red Neon with a few more mods and tricks on his car than I have now.

Another project that I did in around this time that I forgot to get a close-up picture of was I installed some aftermarket fog lights into the bumper. This picture shows them well enough.

In and around this time I also was I purchased some chrome hubcaps. I'm too poor to purchase real rims right now, but until I get that money, this will do. The hubcaps that you see in these pictures are actually the second set that I bought. I let my roommate borrow my car to go to work one night while is truck was broke down, and this was the result of him running off of the road.

Here's a close up of the new set of hubcaps that I'm currently running.

My friend told me he had some seatcovers he would sell me, so I cashed in on it.

Recently I purchased a Thrush glasspack muffler and had Monroe Muffler install it (so that it was done properly and not risking any exhaust leaks). They removed the stock muffler, welded the glasspack to the exhaust pipe, welded a new piece of piping onto the other side of the glasspack, and then bolted on the afterburner that my college roommate gave me. The car now has a nice deep sound, unlike most cars with "bumble bee" mufflers.

Recently I went to a vinyl graphics shop located near the college I am attending and talked to the owner about a sponsorship. He hooked me up with a deal and I got some graphics put on my car. I don't have his name on my car yet, but that will be coming, as well as sponsor sticker for my other sponsorship I've picked up.

A while back at a Neon get together, I bought a front strut bar off of a guy.

Besides buying and overgapping new spark plugs and wires, my latest modification has been a K&N air filter. And yes, like the Thrush muffler, it comes with stickers too.

There will be more to come, and I will update this page whenever possible when I get new stuff. Until then, have fun, and drive safe.
