The Transformation

The Exterior of the Carlton Gsi 3000 24v has a Factory fitted bodykit as standard which includes

  • Front Bumper with Foglights
  • Side skirts
  • Rear Bumper
  • Boot Spoiler

Later Models also had 10 spoke Alloy wheels fitted as standard.

Wolfrace Wheels

I've been busy for the last couple of weeks fixing little running problems with the car so I have not done much actual modifying!

Well the first modification to the exterior was purchased yesterday a set of 17" alloy wheels,
they are Wolfrace Matrix and I think they look pretty good on the carlton,

They were purchased from Jeff Fowkes Wheels in Ibstock Leicestershire, You will find their contact details on my links and contacts page!.

The Bodykit!!!

I went down to oxford this morning to pick up half of a Lotus Carlton Bodykit which had already been fitted to another Carlton and is looking a little worse for wear but it's only cost £100  so i can't really complain!!
The kit that I picked up today includes:

Rear Bumper
Sideskirts
Door Extension Panels
Front & Rear arch extensions
Front Grille

the kit looks like it was fitted quite badly to the previous car and needs a fair bit of work to look right so the first thing ive done is to start to fit the kit to the car so i can check how it all lines up and find out what bit's i need to sand down/bulid up to get it to fit nice and flush!!

As you can see form the pics there is a lot to do, ive only done half of one side and already I can see that it needs a lot of work!!!!!

I will keep adding to this page as more of the job is completed so you can see the progress

Ive still got to get the front bumper which I should have in the next few weeks, and the rear spoiler which I still need to source lol!!

anyways as I said will keep ya'll informed!!!!

Pics of the bodykit being trial fitted!!!!

^^^ Rear arch welded after removing rust that was looking a little bad^^^
