  Cryptography is an essential tool for ensuring security in electronic storage and transfer of information.The course on "cryptography and e-security" will be delivered at Kathmandu University, situated at Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is located midway between two spectacular spots : Namo Buddha, and Sanga. Cryptography has a profound mathematical basis, and a huge practical value. The course will use a bare minimum of mathematical concepts, and demonstrate the practical aspects of cryptography. The lectures and demonstrations will be based solely on FOSS based tools, particularly GnuPG (GPG).
  
• Dr. Partha is a serious practitioner of public key cryptography (using GPG) and Linux/FOSS.
