HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:
Charlotte vs Timberwolves
In Week 5 of this year's Summer League, the number one team, Charlotte, faced the Timberwolves, two teams known for their high scoring.
Gennaro Branison and Taylor Davis have been an amazing duo this season, and are a great reason why Charlotte is yet to lose, heading into this game.
The Timberwolves went to their star player, Xavier Stewart when in trouble, and he carried the Wolves the best he could. Stewart led all scorers this game with 22 points.
At halftime the Timberwolves were facing a 10 point defecit, but were still right there in the game.
Out of halftime, the game started sloppy, and Charlotte was quickly winning 38 to 24. The Timberwolves coach looked right at the ref and called a time-out with 16:42 left in the half.
Right after the time-out the Timberwolves went on a 7-0 run, then there was a three point shot hit by Charlotte, and they were back to leading by 10.
The Timberwolves kept fighting and at one point cutting the lead down to 7 points.
Charlotte quickly reversed the scoring and took an outstanding 15 point lead, and right away the Timberwolves coach called for another time-out with 9:42 left.
Late in the second half, Charlotte really put the game out of reach leading 53 to 34, with 3:02 left in the game.
From there on Charlotte never looked back, Davis and Branison were just too much for the Timberwolves, and Charlotte continued to win the game 56 to 41.
With two more games left in the season, Charlotte has a great chance of finishing undefeated, heading into the playoffs.
Until next week, this is P-Rob and I'm out.
