[Cleveland vs Knicks]
In a highly anticipated game, Cleveland and the Knicks battled in the first Senior Division friday night game of the 2009 BCWB Season.
Cleveland and the Knicks battled the whole game, and it was a close fight until about the last two minutes, then Cleveland began to pull away.
Taylor Kabrick and Andre Daye both lead Cleveland with 10 points. Daye was making plays and setting up other teammates the entire game. Daye also took the task of guarding Prince Roberts one on one the whole second half.
Prince Roberts was the leading scorer for the Knicks with 15 points, and got help from Zach Ruskowinski who had 9 points of his own.
Another key player for the Knicks was Garrett Rozich who had 6 points, and was a monster in the paint for the Knicks was his defensive effort. He was blocking shots left and right, and was huge for the Knicks with his rebounding contribution.
At halftime the score was 18 to 19, after a near buzzer beating "And-1" layup and foul by Prince Roberts.
The second half Cleveland was playing great, and 7 different players scored in reward to their great offensive ball movement.
With 3:32 seconds left in the second half, Cleveland was up six and never looked back. With the help of a 3 point shot from Owen Magee, Cleveland took a lead and essentially put the game away.
After a lay-up from both teams, Cleveland was still up with 2:21 left in the second half.
With about two minutes left, after a steal by Prince Roberts that he turned into a layup, the Knicks cut the Cleveland lead to four.
After some good segments of defense, Andre Daye scored on a lay-up and Cleveland was up 5 points, with 52 seconds left.
Cleveland would continue to beat the Knicks and win the game with a score of 40 to 34.
