Senior Division:

St. Joes vs Montana State

In an intense, hard fought game, Montana State and St. Joes played in the Junior Championship game.

Montana State was led by their star player Zach Thomas, and St. Joes was led by their star player Christian James.

The first half started slow, and was mainly defense from both sides.

This match was close the entire first half, with the score tied at 17.

Coming out of halftime the came was slow and there wasnt much scoring. After about 12 minutes only 10 points were scored from each team.

With 4 minutes left, both teams began to wake up and points started to come quickly.

Down the strech, St. Joes went to James, and Montana State went to Thomas for scoring.

For the last two minutes of the game, there was a one point margin that was going back and forth between both teams.

Then the game came down to the one play, that was the deciding factor.

With 13 seconds left Christian James went to the foul line to complete his and one play, he would make the foul shot. This put St. Joes up by one point, with 13 seconds left.

Montana State would get another chance. Montana State inbounded the ball and called a time-out with 8 seconds left. They ran their play given to them by the coach but could not make the shot.

St. Joes continued to win the game with a score of 31 to 30.

James finished wit 22 points as did Montana state player Zack Thomas.

Junior Division:

Bulls vs Cleveland

The defending champion Bulls were back in the same spot as last season, the championship game. 

The Bulls faced Cleveland in their effort to repeat a championship win.

In the first couple of minutes, the Bulls jumped out with a 9 to 2 lead. And the Cleveland coach quickly called a time-out to try and gather his team.

Just when it looked like the Bulls were going to have a blow-out win Cleveland responded and started to make a run.

Shihee Bowie and Lamont Wims were both the "go to" players for the Bulls success in this game.

Bowie would finish with 18 points and Wims with 12 points.

Cleveland player Taylor Kabrick was Cleveland's leading scorer with 18 points and Dj Ansbro and Leonard Worsham both added 12 points.

Both teams came ready to play, and were making great plays and shots, and it was great to watch.

At halftime, the Bulls were leading 31 to 26, Cleveland fought back hard, and the game was still in reach.

Starting the second half, both teams came out strong.

Ken Wims and Shihee Bowie scored 20 points together in the second half for the Bulls.

In the second half Cleveland players Leonard Worsham and Kabrick were helping their team stay in the game with their scoring.

Everytime Cleveland would cut the lead to 4 or 5 points, the Bulls would bounce back and stretch their lead.

The Bulls were just too much for Cleveland to contain and the Bulls would continue to win the game 67 to 60.

The Bulls players got the championship trophies and Bulls player Lamont Wims was then awarded the MVP of the Senior Division.
