     PRO AG is a board based organization with our membership consisting of farmers and with support from AGRI business and consumers

     PRO AG believes the best way to assure our consumers of an adequate food supply is to have the food produced by our "family farms." To this end, PRO AG is dedicated to preserve our family farms by working with our legislators in developing sound supply management programs; which must be geared to allow agriculture producers to develop proper marketing and pricing mechanisms that will allow them to realize an adequate price for their commodities. This price must cover the "average" cost of production plus a reasonable profit. (6-8% return on their investment)

     PRO AG believes that agriculture producers must have the opportunity to develop supply management programs that will maintain an adequate food supply for the United States.

GOALS OF PRO AG

• Develop legislative language that reflects a price to agriculture producers that covers the average cost of  production plus a reasonable profit. (6-8%)
• PRO AG is seeking support from Agriculture producers and the true Agriculture community.
• PRO AG believes in practical solutions to all environmental issues.
• PRO AG will work with the Agriculture Business community on issues that benefit Agriculture.
• PRO AG will work for aquitable tax reforms pertaining to agriculture producers and AG Businesses.
• PRO AG will seek the support of consumers. We feel a better relationship must be developed between the producers and consumers.
