Well, a long time ago in the country of Meridell a young ixi was born. (Me. :D) I'm not really sure what happened to my parents, but I do remember growing up and getting so bored. I didn't like Meridell; I found it so dull. What was there to do? Count potatoes and kiss frogs. As time went by and I grew older, I got more and more annoyed. I did have some good friends, though, and they prevented me from moving elsewhere. One day we were out playing in a field of daisies when I looked up and saw a dark cloud drifting somewhat above us. I pointed it out to everyone, and they were confused as well. It was a beautiful day, but we waited and watched and it never rained. The cloud simply hung there. A few days later, I learned it was called Darigan and that Meridell might go to war. I was extremely intrigued and looked at it through a telescope and was surprised to see a large castle on the cloud. When it came time to sign up sides, all my friends quickly joined for Meridell. I hesitated for only a moment, then instead flew up to Darigan and joined. They seemed suspicious when they saw me, and I wasn't surprised. I was a faerie ixi. How more Meridell can you get? They let me join, however, and I proved each and every one of their doubts wrong. I fought battle after battle, and with each one my friendships dimmed and Meridell became less and less open to me. I was promoted in ranks until I had my own army. It was then Darigan won the war. I spent the next few weeks in the Castle, playing Cellblock. I felt so happy to be able to play a game that required thinking and skill and reside among intelligence. And then, it happened. The castle was invaded and before I knew what was happening, a guard rushed to my chamber in the castle and said breathlessly, "Miss Prizzy, you must leave at once! The Meridell forces have invaded the castle, and all is lost. They have won the war and the orb." There wasn't a second to lose, and I jumped out the window and floated to safety. They'd heard of me and I was chased by a group of angry ixis who yelled "Traitor!" as they ran. I flew southwest for days, hiding during the day and soaring as fast as my wings could take me at night. After what felt like weeks, I found myself in the Haunted Woods. I spent the next few months there, learning the secrets of the forest (like how not to get lost or eaten by anything.) I kept to myself and didn't draw attention, so few noticed the lovely faerie ixi in the corner. One day I saw a grinning girl walking through the forest followed by a colorful group of pets. They were all cheerful and laughing, having a wonderful time. I felt rather lonely as I watched them pass by. Suddenly a halloween kougra swooped down from the sky, his black pelt making him invisible as he dived down. There was a moment of confusion, then I saw that he was carrying a small baby kougra back up. It was part of the family, I realized with horror. None of the pets could fly, and obviously the girl couldn't fly, so they could only shout in horror as the kougra flew higher and higher. In a rash decision I flew up and tackled the kougra in midair. My training in Darigan quickly overpowered the unexperienced kougra, and he dropped the baby and disappeared. I caught her and helped her safely down. The girl ran up to me and took the kougra in her arms, then looked up at me. "Thank you," she said, seeming to be at a loss for words. She shifted the kougra and held out her hand awkwardly. "I'm Oriana. Wow. Thank you." I shook it with a hoof. "Prizzy." She blinked and looked back down at the kougra, then said, "I.. Is there anything I can do for you? Anything. Really." I thought a moment. I could have asked for codestones, faeries, maybe even a petpet. But instead I heard myself saying, "I'd like to be part of your family; I haven't got a home." To this day I can't figure out why I said that, and I'm not sure who was more surprised: Oriana or me. However she managed to put a big smile on her face, and she set the kougra down. "Welcome to the family, Prizzy." And that's how I got to where I am today!
