Raw

This week's Raw came from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Knowing the WWE loves to humiliate JR in his home town, lets see what happens.

1. Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit beat Christian, Tyson Tomko and Edge.

- Stacy Keibler announces it is JR day in Oklahoma and calls out NCAA wrestling champ Danny Hodge and JR to come down to the ring. A video of his best bits start playing, the crowd pops major style and he is about to cut a speech, when Triple H and Ric Flair make their way out.

Triple H and Ric Flair then destroy JR and Hodge. As HHH is about to pedigree Stacy, Randy Orton comes out and chases them away.

- Eric Bischoff denies William Regal a spot in this year's Royal Rumble and gives it to that critically acclaimed world-class wrestler (now that's dripping with sarcasm) The Coach.

- Batista is put in a handicap Rumble qualifier versus La Resistance.

2. Viscera beats Tajiri in a Rumble Qualifier.

3. Batista thrashed La Resistance to qualify for the Rumble.

4. Muhammed Hassan went over Val Venis to qualify.

5. Kane won a triple threat match over Maven and Gene Snitsky to qualify.

6. Randy Orton beat  Ric Flair.

Smackdown

This week's Smackdown! was the last show before the Royal Rumble. Here's all the relevant developments:

1. Eddie Guerrero, Booker T and Rey Mysterio beat Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak and Orlando Jordan.

2. John Cena retained the US Title versus Kenzo Suzuki. Following the match he cut a promo detailing how he was going to win the Royal Rumble match.

- Heidenreich comes out and says he has a poem for everyone. Thankfully, it doesn't last too long as a casket is wheeled out and Heidenreich hides behind the other side of the ring.

3. In a match not shown on TV, The Undertaker beat Heidenreich in a Casket Match.

4. Paul London won a four-way over Spike Dudley, Shannon Moore and Funaki.

5. JBL and Kurt Angle wrestled to a double count out.

- Teddy Long revealed that Big Show gave him the idea for this match which saw them both knocked out.

Armageddon

WWE held their last pay-per-view of this year on Sunday, from Atlanta, Georgia. In full results from the show:

1. Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio retained the Tag Team Titles against Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki.

2. Daniel Puder beat Mike Mizanin in a Dixie Dog Fight.

3. The Basham Brother's beat Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas.

4. John Cena retained the US title against Jesus.

5. Charlie Haas admitted he was having an affair with Dawn Marie but said he was sick of both women.

6. The Big Show beat Kurt Angle, Mark Jindrak and Luther Reigns.

7. Funaki pinned Spike Dudley meaning we have a new Cruiserweight Champion.

8. JBL won a fatal four-way over Eddie Guerrero, Booker T and The Undertaker to retain the WWE Title, after interference from Heidenreich.

2005

New years Revolution

WWE New Year's Revolution took place on Sunday, January 9 and came to us from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The audience of 14,000 were very hot indeed.

1. Eugene and William Regal beat Christian and Tyson Tomko to retain the Tag straps in an average bout, which ended when Eugene rolled up Tyson Tomko.

2. Trish Stratus pinned Lita to win her sixth Women's title in a poor effort.

3. Shelton Benjamin pinned Maven to retain the IC Title. Twice!

4. Muhammed Hassan pinned Jerry Lawler in a poor effort.

5. Kane tombstoned and beat Gene Snitsky in a surprisingly good match.

6. Triple H won the vacant World Heavyweight Title in an excellent Elimination Chamber match over Edge, Batista, Orton, Jericho and Benoit.

Royal Rumble

The 2005 Royal Rumble came from Fresno, CA in front of a relatively large attendance.

As was the last dual-brand PPV before WrestleMania 21, many expected matches to be set up. They weren't left disappointed.

1. Edge defeated Shawn Michaels in a solid outing after gripping HBK's tights and the ropes.

2. The Undertaker beat John Heidenreich in a Casket match following interference from Gene Snitsky and Kane (who was hiding in the casket). This makes it look like the Brothers of Destruction will face Snitsky and Heidenreich at 'Mania.

3. JBL won a triple threat match that did not live up to expectation over Big Show and Kurt Angle.

- After the match Teddy Long announced JBL v Big Show at No Way Out in a barbed wire steel cage match.

4. Triple H retained the World Heavyweight Championship over Randy Orton in a good effort.

5. Batista won the Royal Rumble match last eliminating John Cena. This was great stuff, very gripping.
