My name is Joe and my dad and me are building our first layout based on Preston Station located on the WCML. This web site is all about the layout and has pictures of the layout and trains around Preston station and Brock line. Due to the different stock we like, the layout will be modelled with two time periods. The first is 2000 - 2003, and the second is 2006 - onwards. There isn't much year difference between the two era's but there is a reason, in 2006 - onwards, we can't use our old Virgin liveried HST units, class 86 and class 90. This is because the Pednolino's and Voyagers have replaced and the old HST's were sold to Midland Mainline and First Great Western. The class 90's owned by Virgin have now been sold to One Anglia and the class 86's have either been scrapped or sold. So this is why have two time periods, so we can run our old virgin liveried stock.
