Press Enter Productions

PRESS ENTER to continue...

Welcome!

Welcome to the main page of Press Enter Productions.

Press Enter Productions is made up of Andrew Hookway. He was formerly a part of Project Apocalypse, but when that production company fell through, he struck it out on his own.

Press Enter is a member of Key Pixel Gathering of Filmers.

Not all films are hosted online yet, though there's a distinct possibility that that will soon change.

1.6.08

A teaser for Control has been released. Go on over and check it out! Release date is now January 14th, a full year from the original workshop deadline.

12.1.07: Still Pumping

Oh hey, a news update!

A lot has changed here in a year. The latest release, Red Letter Day, has hit the site, as well as the new short film Tee-Theta and the series that it will spawn. Okay, well, there's nothing put up about the Tee-Theta series yet, but it's in production.

Under the Key Pixel heading, we've got Control, which was to be filmed last January as part of the TF.N Filmmaking Workshop III. We hit a, er, roadblock, and made an alternate. Since then, we've filmed it in August and it's looking at a December 2007 release. That's right - this month! Keep your eyes peeled.

11.7.06: Domain and Releases

Big news here at Press Enter! We've now got a domain name, so go ahead and point your browser to http://www.press-enter.net. The domain name won't stay in the address bar; I'm working on that. Forgive me for getting the domain name cheap (actually, Phi getting the domain name cheap for me; thanks, Phi!) and it not integrating well with Freewebs. Trust me, it's something I'm working on.

Second, a television spot for The Film Journal has been uploaded that I did in a class. Go over and check it out in the Smaller Projects area.

Last, but most certainly not least, UCF: Toronto Cybercide is finally out for purchase. Go ahead and check it out at the Customflix storefront or at Amazon.com.

9.6.06: Darth Moby and Behind the Curtain

A lot of changes are going on here. First and foremost, you will now find that instead of navigating a complicated hosting pool, Darth Moby: Hunt for the White Sith is now available for download directly from its page on this site.

Along with that obvious change come a couple smaller ones. I've re-vamped the Key Pixel project listing again, moving around productions based on how complete they are and taking out the list of constituent production companies. More and more, we're working together as one company, instead of people who happen to work together at times. While we retain our autonomy, a lot of these are true Key Pixel productions.

Lastly, I've got a seperate subdomain over at Phispace for hosting, so instead of having my things in a folder under keypixel.phispace.net, it's now all right under pressenter.phispace.net. I'll have to work on a redirect from that subdomain to here. What does that mean for you? Hopefully, nothing, but practically, there may be some broken links. If there are, feel free to e-mail me and report them- ankeho@hotmail.com, make sure that "Press Enter" is in the subject line somewhere.

Lastly, be sure to check out the newest teaser for Stargate: Hades. It was shown at Dragon*Con this past weekend while Justin was on a panel about fanfilms.

8.4.06: Stargate: Hades website up!

Though the news here isn't the most current of all Key Pixel news, late news is still better than none at all. To this end, I'm alerting you, the web surfer, that there is now an official website for Stargate: Hades, where production updates will be posted.

Check it out!

6.21.06:Happy Summer, Have Some Presents

A fair amount has happened since my last update. First off, pertaining to the last one, the paper written about the prosumer phenomenon has been finished, turned in, and returned, with a grade of an A. It's now available for download for all to read.

Revitalization of the Film Industry by Independent Film Makers (<1 MB, Microsoft Word document)

Second, I've gotten around to uploading more videos. The Script was done in January of 2005, while Train Memory was done just the other night; they can both be seen in the newly-created Smaller Projects.

Lastly, production is well underway for the next big Key Pixel project, Stargate: Hades. Things are being kept fairly private, but when there are public updates, rest assured, they will be posted here.

4.12.06: Emergence of the Prosumer

As a project for a class, I'm writing about the phenomenon of the prosumer- professional consumer- in the film industry. The paper is being written now, but the Powerpoint presentation can be found here. I don't expect people to flock to it, but it's one of the things that I've been working on until the end of the school year. Once the semester is over, I'll begin post-production on UCF.

Also, it's worth noting that Writer's Block Media is no longer up. Films have been transferred to Phispace, and links to them can be found on the Key Pixel project pages, both here and there.
