Hello and welcome to premature baby, I hope you find our site useful. I am a mother of a former preemie born at 23 weeks gestation. I created this site for families dealing with the concerns of having a premature baby. This site is available for families to obtain resources, meet other parents, and gain the support they need. I am a mother of twins that were born at 26 weeks gestation, or 14 weeks premature. Griffin weighed in at 2lbs 2oz and was 13 inches long. Erin weighted 1lb 10oz and was 13 inches long.
They had their share of up's and down's in the NICU ranging from open PDA valves, to infections. Most things were resolved by the time we went home. They are currently 16 months old and have minimal effects from their prematurity. Time will tell what lasting effects they will have, but we have been blessed with our little miracles!
