PLEASE PRAY FOR CHRISTIE'S
IMMEDIATE HEALING AND REMISSION!

Recently, her cancer metastasized to her brain, and she is attempting to receive chemo to treat the cancer, however, her blood platelets are too low.
Many blood transfusions later, Christie is feeling week (too week to move, she has said),
and is leaving soon for another visit to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center
in Houston hoping her platelets & hemoglobin (?? I think that's what it is) is "up to snuff" so that
she can get her chemo, and stop the spread of the cancer in its tracks!
We are asking for CONTINUAL PRAYERS FOR HEALING for the next 24 hrs - NON STOP!
PLEASE TAKE or SEND THIS REQUEST TO YOUR CHURCH AND PRAYER GROUPS!

CHRISTIE IS FACING SOME VERY CHALLENGING TIMES DUE TO HER BLADDER PARALYSIS, AND IS ASKING FOR PRAYERS FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE FUNCTION OF HER BLADDER AND FOR STRENGTH TO HELP HER STOP FALLING!
Christie has fallen several times over this past week, which has been extremely painful!
As you can imagine, this new challenge makes it difficult for Christie to focus on her LiveStrong Campaign - where she is trying to establish awareness in her Lubbock community of the need to improve public handicap bathroom facilities! She depends on her mobility to be able to get her campaign fliers out and accomplish this very important goal!

In case you haven't visited Christie's webpage, here is what she wrote in response to the pager Ring-A-Thon and to the donations that came in to help Christie & Clemente with their trip to the Livestrong Summit this week-end:
I am absolutely overwhelmed by the response to Kim's "Page Christie Day" idea. My pager literally beeped (or vibrated) constantly all day yesterday. The numbers were coming in faster than I could even read them, and since my pager only holds pages, I have no idea how many I actually received. All I know is that it woke me up on Friday morning and that I had to put it under the mattress on Friday night because it was still going off at 12:30.
I would like to give my overwhelming gratitude to every one of you who donated money so that Clemente and I could not only go to Austin, but have some fun in the evenings and buy some desperately needed new clothes so no one there would think we're bums. Because of your donations, I was able to purchase two pairs of athletic shoes; a size 10 for my left foot, where the brace is, and a size 9 for my normal right foot. Amazingly, the shoes that were the most comfortable have the cancer ribbon on the tongue. Meant to be? I think so!
My love goes out to all of you, and praises for you go up to God Almighty! How blessed I am to have such a dependable, loving, Godly circle of family and friends.
