INTRODUCTION TO THE POWER ACTING TECHNIQUE 

 

Welcome to my blog, in this blog I will introduce to you a modern method acting technique I named The power acting technique. This technique combines the core elements of method acting with powerful breathing exercises to enhance the power of the technique, it is the most modern, effective and up to date method technique available today. This technique is ideal for all actors beginners and advanced. Once the actor practice this exercises he can apply them to any acting situation either on stage or on the movie set. Due to pollution, stress, and fast paced living the  modern actor needs a technique that would help him deal with this challenges. The  power acting technique is designed for this purpose because it is no longer wise nor sufficient to learn the art of acting without learning the art of living. So I invite you to study, learn and practice this technique with no strings attached. There are six elements that compose the Power Acting Technique and each element is to be practice one element per day as follows:

 

1. Monday: The Power Relaxation

2. Tuesday: The Power Concentration

3. Wednesday: The Power Visualization

4. Thursday: The Conscious Power Memory

5. Friday: The Emotional Power Memory

6. Saturday: The Power Improvisation

 

Make sure you use this chronological order for best results.

 

NOTE OF CAUTION: Please remember to consult your doctor if you suffer from heart,

lungs, or other respiratory problems before doing this breathing exercises.  Also make

sure you practice the breathing exercises early in the morning or late at night when the

air is less contaminated. Practice in a well ventilated area like in front of a window.

 THE PURPOSE OF THE SIX ELEMENTS OF THE POWER ACTING TECHNIQUE

 

 

Power relaxation:  Develops the ability to relax at will.

Power visualization:  Develops the ability to visualize.

Power concentration:  Develops the ability to concentrate easily or at will.

Conscious power memory:  This exercise helps enhance the five senses.

Emotional power memory:  This exercise helps to develop emotional expression.

Power Improvisation:  Develops the ability to improvise.
