A bonfire at a Fire Ring at the south end of Como Park started at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 31st. (Well, actually at Noon, when Rose set up camp to save the best Fire Ring for the class.)  Nobody brought musical instruments, marshmallows, or old algebra papers to burn, but Mike Halvorsen grilled some tasty brats and burgers and stories of the Blue and Gold warmed hearts. It took a thunderous rain storm to end the evening, but not the memories.

Cars We Drove (thanks, Norm Gage)

Box Elder Bugs

by Bill Holmes
With us it is different, we think,
each raised to be odd,
the center of his own world,
without which nothing else is;
and it all goes down
with a burst of weeping,
a hollow space in the air
where our body stood.

Murray High Song  (Words by Emily Andersen or Marilyn (Neubrand) Kabes)
"For Murray High we give a cheer hurrah for blue and gold......."
