We've made some class changes to encourage more 'first time racers' to come out and have a good time.  The date change could not be helped.  The fairgrounds had rented out the property and we can't race during others activities.

A VERY Special THANKS goes out to Russells Excavating!  They donated all the dirt, fuel costs, and man-power to help our track out!  The guys at Russells are true excavating pro's!  Please keep them in mind for all your excavating, sand-dirt-gravel & septic needs.  We need to support the folks who support the sport!

You can contact Russells at 812-838-2471 and tell them the staff at Posey MX sent you!

** No Saturday Practices are planned.  Our race turn-outs keep getting bigger, but last year we seen a drop in the number of riders coming for practice and with the high price of insurance we decided not to plan any for now.  If we get enough requests to have practice days, then we will look into it.  But for now we have not planned any for 09. **

* We will be running longer practices the morning of the race, so you will get enough time to dial the track in.

I want to thank the racers who continue to support Posey MX.  We've been able to buy a starting gate and upgrade our tillage equipment because of your support.  Remember, 100% of the money we make goes right back into the track.  No other track does this.  We do it because we love it and want to give you (racers) the very best MX track possible.  For those of you who haven't been to Posey MX before, come out and see what fun MX can be when its not about the profit.  Our "A" Money classes are a guaranteed payout and our trophies are the very best that money can buy.  Our trophy budget is nearly $1000 per race, most tracks don't spend $1000 all year long.  All our volunteers give 110% to make your racing experience in Posey County the best possible.

We use the same starting gate the pro's use.  Its from racegates.com

Concessions:  Country Kitchen will be providing food and drinks on race days.  Please patronize these folks, they have some great food with very reasonable prices.  Try the jumbo Tenderloin!  Its our favorite!

Restrooms:  We have indoor restrooms!  Located in the "sign in" building.  We also have a port-a-jon near the bleachers.

Lodging:  Four Seasons Motel is 15 to 20 minutes from Posey MX, located in Mt. Vernon.  For reservations please call: 1-800-264-1405 or reserve online: https://www.fourseasonsmotel.net/booking/  This motel is first class, you won't be disappointed!

Rules:  No drugs, no alcohol.  Riders must wear a helmet, boots and goggles at all times.  Quads must have a working kill cord.  Absolutely no pit bikes, UTV's, or golf carts.  Bikes/Quads (4 strokes) should have a 12 inch muffler and produce less than 101 dB.  Litering:  Put your trash in the trash cans, we appreciate your cooperation.  Absolutely NO PIT RIDING!  This is becoming a problem, so I'm going to deal with it by having a Sheriff's Deputy policing the grounds and looking for pit riders.  Taking a ride thru the pits or anywhere else on the grounds will get you escorted off the fair grounds.  You may ride from your pit area to the starting area, but you must ride in 1st gear at an idle.
