Aveiro, Portugal is an industrial city with an important seaport. Located in the District of Aveiro, it is the chief city of Baixo Vouga.

Known as the Venice of Portugal, due to the canals that run through town. The valleys are surrounded by mountains and fertile lagoon plains.
In the old quarter of Aveiro, tourists can see the whitewashed houses of the fisherman, and in the early morning, fish caught during the night are auctioned at Mercado do Peixe.
