Almancil, near the coastal resorts of Quarteira, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, is a traditional village with many first class hotels, restaurants and boutiques. With golf courses and beaches nearby, it's worth visiting.

Located in the east of the village is the church of Sao Laourenco. Covered inside with beautiful 18th Century ceramic tiles it is an outstanding example of Algarvian Architecture.
