Self Sufficiency On A Budget

The Idea

Wouldn't it be nice to have a simpler life, to be completely Self Sufficient and not to have to need the supermarket or pay the gas and elecricity companys. But it looks like very hard work.

I'm just an Essex boy with no money and no experience but the ideas inspired mainly by John Seymour and Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall really do fascinate me, growng my own Veg, keeping Livestock and foraging for food.

I can't afford to give up my job so I'm going to have a bit of a dabble and see where this goes.

So far it had all been based in my old back garden measured my little plot measured 9m x 9m....................... due to a divorce I no longer live there.




























This is what it looks like now, I haven't lived at the property for nearly 2 years and my veg patch is totally grown over and the greenhouse is falling to pieces this is becoming a cathartic experience doing this, there is no way I could have done this earlier in the year, I put so much effort into it over the years

I would like to get an allotment which is easier said than done as there is a long waiting list with my local council.

Last night I had an epiphany..........I watched River Cottage this whole land share thing looks fascinating.

I need some like minded people
