Ponsonby Gundogs
The kennel began in 1974 with the purchase of an Afghan hound, which was shown with some success, and later produced a litter from which 2 pups were kept.
The dog did well in good competition, being placed 2nd in his 2 classes at Crufts in 1982.
Pointers joined the kennel in 1989, followed by Hungarian Vizsla in 1991, and more recently the addition of German Shorthaired Pointers.
In November 2005, we emigrated to New Zealand and brought with us 12 dogs, …. 4 pointers, 2 GSP’s, and 6 Hungarian Vizsla

We have settled in the beautiful Hawkes Bay , to be near to our daughter and grandchildren, and can now take up the duties of babysitters.
