Shock
as Sargeant is dropped from UK team
The UK have announced the
final team to play the South Africans on the 18th and 19th
of July and the only big shock in the team is the omission
of Greg Sargeant from the Men's squad. The UK coaches for
the test match series, Ross Turnbull for the men and Doug
Webb for the Ladies, watched all the players at the Great
Northern Tournament at the weekend and then named their

claim European Challenge as Polocrosse looks stronger than
ever in Europe
The European Challenge took
place at the Northern Racing College on the 4th and 5th
of July and to welcome the Europeans the sun decided to
beat down on Bawtry for the whole of the weekend. There
was a high risk on sunburn for the players as the
United Kingdom won the European Challenge for the first
time, as last year's winners Ireland did not come over to
defend their title. Not that their absence should detract
from the United Kingdom's performance, they looked strong
and well organised as they defeated all their opponents

Arden
win A Grade on home ground while Carrickmines take the B
Grade to Ireland
The
sun baked down on Henley in Arden on the 27th and 28th of
June and under the glroious sunshine Arden A team played
some glorious polocrosse to comfortably defeat the Highlanders
21 goals to 13 in the A grade final. The lead was greater
going into the last chukka but the Highlanders came out
fighting and Arden committed a couple of simple fouls to
give away a couple of goals...Read

versus South Africa Test matches to support Breast Cancer
Charity
 The
test matches between the United Kingdom and South Africa
in July will help support the Breast Cancer Campaign, as
a fundrasing auction and a collection will be held in the
VIP area on the 19th (the Sunday). This is the first time
a test match series in the UK has been linked to a national
charity in this way and hopefully this link should benefit
both parties, with Breast Cancer getting valuable funds
and with polocrosse benefiting from the extra exposure a
