The third party paradox
Third parties are often like a fifth wheel in American politics. They often have a great many ideas, and many of them may be very good ideas. In fact, it is the ideas and the improvements projected to arise from those ideas that attract people to the party. But these parties are never able to rise to major status with the American electorate.
Not until they get the support of a broad spectrum of the American people will their proposed changes and offered solutions be implemented, and when such a broad spectrum is that supportive, one of the major parties will take up the banner. That is the way our system works.
The solution: the Diamond Party
In order to be able for a minor party to achieve it's goals it is essential that it doesn't try and copy the organization and approach of one the major parties. An ideology-based political party can be effective only when she organizes herself as an independent voters league/think tank. That way, she can have much more influence on the public debate and act as the defender of liberty and fairness in politics.
Since we realized that in order to see our ideals implemented, we needed to build a party that actively petitions people not to vote for us. May we present to you: the Diamond Party.
Our goal:
The goal of the Diamond Party is to build a new political movement that is dedicated to promoting liberty, justice and logic in politics. Our mission is to convince as many people as possible of our ideals, by using all media at our disposal, and to see as much of ideas and platform issues implemented.
Our strategy:
It is our strategy to build a strong network of volunteers, experts and concerned citizens that is able to reach as much people as possible.
Our primary weapon in that strategy will be the internet, our objective will be to become widely known and recognized in all internet communities, discussion forums and meeting groups.
We are confident that our movement reflects the majority opinion in this country and as such we'll be trying to put pressure on the two major parties by becoming a strong voters league they one day won't be able to ignore any longer.
