::Prolouge - Moving::

Puffs of smoke blasted out of the back of the bus that little Crystal was going aboard on. She rushed and rushed, panted and panted. Crystal was a small, healthy girl that was moving away to a small private land to live with her older sister, Star, although Crystal didn't remember her before in her life. But she knew she had to be good and she had to trust her sister anyways. She was already late, and little flashbacks of her life popped into her head somehow, but poor Crystal blocked it out of her head. She was poor because those flashbacks distracted her in an uncomfortable way. As fast as she slipped ahead, she couldn't keep up with the bus. People were talking and they were pushing Crystal when she had to push them out of the way and say, "Sorry." Crystal's memories of her parents and the flashbacks of all the wonderful times they had flashed back into her mind. Crystal was getting stressed. "Auuuugh!" she said. She rushed even quicker to the bus now, and just when the bus's puffs of smoke began stopping and the bus began moving, Crystal, with her bags of luggage, leaped onto the bus. She squirmed and looked at herself. She was okay! Although Crystal was at the back of the bus, the little girl managed to push by and look out the window at the last seat. That's when the ticket taker came and he held out his hand with a hole puncher. "Miss," he began. "Why are you at the back? You were supposed to hand me your ticket at the front. If you don't give me your ticket now, prepare to get out of the bus." Crystal shivered with fear as she looked straight at the ticket taker. Today wasn't going so well. This was what happened at this day. Crystal woke up at the wrong side of the bed and she felt weird and her stomach hurt real bad so she went to the bathroom. But that didn't help either. At breakfast, Crystal's mother served sunny side up eggs and fresh butter pancakes. When Crystal asked for the best dish, Crystal's mother accidentally gave Crystal the most rotten one. And when Crystal asked to her mother and father, "Where am I going anyway? Star's pretty far away," Crystal's father replied that he didn't remember and Crystal's mother said it wasn't on the ticket so Crystal's curiosity got the better of her. Plus, Crystal had to ride on her rainbow bike to get to the bus station because Crystal's father's car's tires were knocked down flat. Then she got late and she had to leap on the bus... and now she was in trouble because of the "dumb" ticket taker. "I'm sorry. I was late and everything, and I had a bad day. I'm Crystal and here's my ticket! So please go away! I'm in a bad mood!" Crystal finally snapped. "You're a mean mover." The ticket taker laughed slightly, and he grabbed the ticket. Crystal moved in the seat in front of her, which was an empty seat. She sat down and grumped. The ticket taker punched the hole and he threw it on Crystal's hair and walked to the front of the bus. Even though Crystal had to say goodbye to everyone she knew, even Sugar, her white kitten and she got to live with her sister, she knew that she enjoyed being alone a little, but she missed everything. She didn't want to live with her sister. And soon it hit her just like a brick. "Why did Mom and Dad even put me on a bus to make me live with Sis? Hmph." Crystal sighed. She had a bad enough day.

::Chapter One - Bus Stop::

Crystal read her book, "Gloomy Days" while the bus drove back and forth. The bus was a red double-decker bus and the windows were open so Crystal's book's pages flapped back and forth, and suddenly Crystal slapped her book shut and put it back into her bag. "Bus station... they should call this a train station," thought Crystal, looking down at the train tracks the bus was following. Soon, the bus screeched to a stop. Crystal bumped back into the window and back out. It hurt her neck to bend and she was about to scream. "Ow!" She winced and she just tightened her seat belt. Crystal tried not to get hurt or be in problems today. She touched her head quietly. Soon, Crystal heard a tiny girl's voice. "Ha! That's funny. That girl is funny." Crystal looked over with a fright. She saw a tiny girl with brown straight hair, and not to mention long hair. Crystal saw that the girl was laughing and pointing at her! "You're funny," said the little girl. "How do you do? My name's Issabelle." Issabelle got up from her seat and she held out her hand. Crystal stood up too. "Wow! I think I'm making a friend," thought Crystal. She smiled and the brightness sparkled her teeth. Issabelle giggled with a bubbly voice. She seemed nice, so Crystal shook her hand nicely. "I'm Crystal." "Great name!" exclaimed Issabelle. "I love that name. It sounds so serene." Crystal grinned and she bragged, "Oh, and my grandmother's name was Opal. Halfway all of my family has names of jewels and special amulets like luck!" Issabelle gasped and she sat back down. Crystal smiled and her hair flapped in the wind of the double-decker bus. She sat down and put back on her seat belt. Issabelle's brown hair flew in the wind too. "So... what do you like?" asked Issabelle. The two girls had already become friends. Crystal smiled and she laughed. She touched her calm hands on her lap and leaned forward. "I like all sorts of things. Especially cats and dogs. Puppies and kittens I like too. Oh, and I love Pokemon!" yelled out Crystal excitedly. Issabelle's eyebrows wrinkled and she looked out in the window. She turned the other way and looked out. She saw the special valleys and mountains beyond the point of your eye. She smiled and she saw grass and dirts, roots and berries on the ground. She looked over and at the point of her eye, she spotted a little thin blue. She knew it was the ocean. "I like... nature." Issabelle sighed happily. "That's cool. Where are you going on this bus stop, anyways?" asked Crystal out of curiosity. Then, suddenly, pictures popped into her head like the annoying flashbacks before. Crystal suddenly remembered all the things that she asked her parents and how she said goodbye to her friend and her kitten, Sugar. "Jeez, man." There was a sudden silence. The "Jeez, man" sounded like Crystal's voice, but it wasn't. "Who impersonated my voice?" she asked aloud. Issabelle stared at Crystal. Crystal then figured out it was just a flashback. She shook her head and she pulled up her shirt a little. Soon, the bus screeched to a stop again. Crystal looked. Issabelle waved and she grabbed her digital camera and stuffed it into her bag. "Oh, Crystal. I got to go! Oh, well... but it was fun meeting you. I hope I can meet you again..." Issabelle slowly finished and she touched Crystal's hand, and she trailed away. Crystal held out her hand to have one last shake, but Issabelle had gone. The bus's puffs of smoke popped out and the bus zoomed away, and as Crystal looked out the window, Issabelle had already left through golden shiny gates.

::Chapter Two - Jirachi Lake::

Sipping a cup of mocha latte that she had gotten from the ticket taker, Crystal sighed and laid back in relief. She had felt so calm and gentle now, but she was lonely. She missed Issabelle and all of her crazed tales and wonders. As the ticket taker came to the back of the bus, Crystal handed him the mocha latte gently. "I don't want anymore," she whispered. The ticket taker looked strangely at Crystal and took the cup. He walked back to the front of the bus and sat down, inspecting all of the people boarding the red double-decker bus. "I miss Issabelle." Crystal took a long sigh and she looked at her bags. She took one of the red bags and she opened the pouch quietly. She dug inside and found a tiny cracker and across from her was a little hungry boy, who was about to weep. His head was covered in his knees and Crystal knew how he felt by looking at his thin little body. She wanted to do a good deed, so she dug inside for a few more crackers. She found a tiny bag of chocolate flavored crackers and she handed the tiny bag to the little boy, even though the crackers were one of Crystal's all time favorite snacks and she was hungry as well. The boy didn't give a look back. He was weeping. Crystal felt so bad. "Grrr!" She tapped on the little boy and he rubbed his eyes and he bent his knees and put them on the ground and finally looked at Crystal. "Hi?" he asked. "Hey, little guy. You're so thin! How can you survive like that?" asked Crystal in a reply. She tried her hardest to make her voice sound as pleasant and sweet as possible. She almost scrunched in her cheeks and she almost wrinkled her eyebrows too much. She felt stressing and sweat drops fell from her head. "I'm just hungry. Sorry if I bothered you, Mrs.," the boy said. He began to cry again and even though Crystal didn't like the sound of her being a Mrs., she felt bad for him and she patted his back. "I'm sure you'll feel better if you get one of these. Try them. I don't mind if you eat all of them, in fact! They're really good." Crystal handed him the chocolate crackers and the boy smiled bubbly and giggly at Crystal. Crystal grinned with excitement. She couldn't wait to hear the boy's pleasant new reply! "Oh, thank you so much!" the boy cried, eating and munching the crackers. He became more quiet and more quiet. "My name's Aaron," greeted the boy after he had finished half of the crackers. "What's yours?" Crystal smiled and introduced herself. Soon, after the talk, the boy went off into the back seat to eat the rest of his crackers. Smiling, Crystal knew she had done a good deed for a starving child. Soon, the bus stopped real quick and Crystal leaned back and forth. She bumped into the seat in front of her and she held her head as she was all dizzy. Puffs of smoke blasted out of the tires and the back of the red bus. "We've arrived at Jirachi Lake, everyone. Please unbuckle your seat belts and please come outside. We're having a tour around this place. Stops at Jirachi Lake, please leave if you wish," boomed a voice on the mini loudspeaker on the bus. Crystal decided to get off, and she grinned. She winked at Aaron, who pushed his crackers into his little bag and unbuckled his seat belt. Crystal obeyed the bus driver and unbuckled her's, too. Crystal got off the bus quickly, but every person began pushing Crystal out of the way. "Ow! Ouch! Yee-sh! Help!" Crystal hollered, people stepping all over her new sneakers. "Hold up!" cried the bus driver. Everyone then obeyed and then they got out of the bus safely and looked all around at the beautiful scenery.

::Chapter Three - Crystal Meets the Lake::

"Wow. It's beautiful." Crystal couldn't breathe or talk any longer. She wanted to confess her feelings about the lake and its beauty. "The lake's so precious! If the lake were made out of pure crystal and I wanted to dive and crash in, the precious crystal would break, and I'd regret it my whole life. What a beauty!" cried Crystal out loud. Then, flashbacks blinked into her mind. She put her hands on her mouth and looked at the audience, staring at her, remembering her remarks and last-minute words about the lake. "Sorry." Crystal ignored the audience slowly and she crept down to check her shoe. She looked up at the people and she nervously untied her shoelace. "Oh, look. My shoelace's untied. Let me fix it." She bent down to her sneakers and she began tying quickly and slitting and fitting into the knot. "Okay. I'm done." Crystal bent back up and she cramped her back bone a little so she put her hands on it and pushed a little, which made her back feel a bit better, almost perfectly better. She looked up at the bus driver. "You may go on, Mr.," Crystal reminded him. "Welcome to Jirachi Lake!" exclaimed the bus driver. "You can call me John. I'll be your guide at this lake. Anybody who's living at this stop may go or wait until I'm finished guiding. Then the road trip will begin again." Looking around herself again, Crystal couldn't believe her eyes or her ears. In the background, flashbacks floated into Crystal's mind. But soon, a song quickly tuned into her ears. It sounded like a peaceful and rock song. "Um," Crystal said. She couldn't hear anything the bus driver, John, was saying. She just looked around in amazement, hearing the wonderful song and blinding her eyes away from flashbacks. Around her was a beautiful sparkling light blue lake, full of all of the Pokemon you could imagine. Splashing water sparkled from the sunlight, and the yellow sun shined as clear as a cup of water. Around Jirachi Lake, there were thousands of rows of trees. There was a little fountain north of the lake and a small Jirachi was carved on top, and quietly, everyone nodded at the sound of John, while Crystal looked around, still amazed. "Okay, that's the end of the tour." John rushed to get back to the bus. "If any of you want to stay and go to your stop, then don't get back on the bus. See ya!" He climbed back into the bus and laid on the seat. Aaron looked at Crystal and pulled her hand like a little boy with his mother. Crowds of people rushed back onto the bus and puffs of smoke appeared. "Hurry up!" snapped John. "Miss Crystal, are you going to ever see me again? I'm going. Are you?" asked Aaron, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Awww... Aaron, I'm sure we'll meet again. As long as you survive and have a healthy life, I'll always be with you. I'm staying." Crystal began crying as well, as the tears dripped into the lake. Aaron shook her hand. "We'll meet soon, like you did with that girl." He rushed back into the bus and then Crystal glanced back at him in the last window. He pushed his cheeks to the window and waved cutely. He smiled and the bus suddenly drove away. "Bye!" cried Crystal. Soon, she forgot about Star's house. "Uh... oh. Oh, crud." Crystal sat down near the motionless lake. She looked. "I guess I'll just have to stay here for a while," she decided. Star took off her shoes suddenly and quietly, she threw off her socks. She put her clean feet into the lake and splashed a little. The Pokemon in Jirachi Lake were delighted. "Hi!" they all cheered at once.

::Chapter Four - Hey, Star!::

Crystal leaped up with surprise as she stared at the Pokemon, who were oh so glad to see her. "Hi, hi, hi!" they chirped, barked and yelped with happiness. Crystal leaped up again and the grass and dirty dust touched her toes. Crystal suddenly shivered to look at the disgusting mess on the ground where her feet had leaped onto. "Oh... ewww!" Crystal winced. "It's okay. We're so sorry we scared you. Go on--you can put your feet in Jirachi Lake. Jirachi will heal it for you!" The happy Pokemon cheered Crystal on. Crystal was scared, but she placed her dirty feet into Jirachi Lake. As she sat down, the Pokemon cheered in delight, especially the two mouse twins, Plusle and Minun. Suddenly, an amazing flash of light covered the lake's surface and the lake's water became crystal and pure white. "Wow!" cried Crystal, amazed at the sight, but also in fear. Jirachi's power had powered the lake, and soon, the aqua blue color of the lake returned, and as Crystal picked up her feet, she saw that they were all pure clean. "Wow. Thanks, Jirachi. Thanks, guys." Crystal leaped out of the lake and she put on her socks. She slipped on her sneakers and she kicked it on the ground to make a good shake and to check. A Lapras was also in the lake, and the male Lapras swam close to her. "It seems that you're stranded here. Perhaps... what I found... will be a good use to you," he told her. Crystal was surprised and she touched the Lapras's smooth, warm head. She smiled at him and she quietly and calmly put her legs around Lapras and Lapras took a short swim around Jirachi Lake, while Crystal admired its beauty. The Pokemon cheered some more, especially Plusle, who was the most loudest. "Off you go!" the Lapras said. "And watch your step," a Pikachu noted. Crystal grinned with delight and patted the Lapras, and then jumped down. "Thanks for the lift," she said, bowing down to the Lapras. "Any time," replied the Lapras, going back to the other edge of Jirachi Lake. "When you're hurt, come here and Jirachi will heal you full!" Minun reminded Crystal. Crystal felt so at home with the Pokemon and she sniffed. She smiled as well. She wasn't even surprised the Pokemon could talk. She turned the other way and she looked at the old, creaked house that she found in front of her. "Could this be?" she asked herself. The house was old and almost worn. The house was a deep purple and a cold blood red. The windows were especially clean, and the door was a dirty white. But when Crystal slowly eyed the mailbox, a word shocked her. "STAR." "Deja vu!" cried Star in shock. She hugged herself quickly and she looked up at the window. A tall figure smiled down at her and Crystal screamed. "Ahhhh!!!" she yelled, scared as a bunny rabbit without a home in the dark. "Oh, you pussy cat!" laughed Star, getting out of the house. When Crystal spotted her, Star's silky brown hair floated against the wind. "Hey... Crystal," she said, smiling. "Hey, Star!" cried Crystal, glad to finally catch a look at her old sister. "Bet Mom and Dad sent you," Star said. Crystal looked away at Jirachi Lake and she looked back at Star, grinning from ear to ear. "Sure," she sneered, pretending. Crystal and Star looked at each other in silence, and then cracked up. "Trust me, this is the beginning. I'll talk all about the place when you get in. C'mon, Crystal, old girl." Star walked away into the dirty white door, and Crystal's eyebrows wrinkled at the look of the house. "Oh well," she said to herself. She walked inside and the warm wind carried away.

::Chapter Five - Moving In's a Hard Job

Crystal and her sister walked slowly and carefully into the house, hoping not to fall into any cracks. Crystal slowly walked and she leaped over broken wood of the floor. Star just walked over them, and they simply didn't fall. Was Star a magician or was it just on accident? "I don't know," Crystal decided. Star looked back at her curious sister, who was slowing down and tapping her chin and tapping her foot. "Crys. Come on." She giggled and rushed up the stairs. "I'll race ya!" At the sound of "race," Crystal's eyes flashed. She loved races! She said, "Fine!" and she laughed. Crystal felt like she was having a good time and she leaped off the ground and she jumped on the first stair. She dashed along the swirling stairs and raced to get as high as Star, who got a head start. Soon they reached the top and the girls were both panting. Soon, when Crystal looked at herself, she gasped and she put her hands to her cheek, shocked. "No! I put my luggage on the bus." She collasped down and she was emotionless. Her eyes suddenly closed slowly, and a few seconds later, she fell down, like she was dead. "It's okay. I want to show you Jirachi Lake and all of the Pokemon there... in MY room," Star said. Crystal flung up to the top of her head. "Okay. Where's your room?" she asked fastly. Star looked strangely at Crystal and grabbed her hand. The two sisters rushed to many rooms and looked. In a beautiful blue wallpaper covered room, Star was happy to show it off. The drawers and desks were decorated with rainbow colored stars and her most biggest desk was decorated with cute white kittens, while her computer was overloaded with white kittens. On top of the desk was a blue kitten toy to match the wallpaper. "She sure likes cats," mumbled Crystal, happy and jealous. "This is my room. You can stay here for the night in my sleeping bag, since the bed is for one only," explained Star in a fast way. Crystal smiled and she stood frozen. She was amazed at the supply of kitten and non-kitten things she had. Even though the house was creaky and old, her room was totally fantastic! "Don't mention it," replied Crystal. "Where's your sleeping bag?" Star grinned and she stopped. Her mouth moved into a straight line and she walked to her blue closet door. She opened it and she looked. "Um, you get to pick one." She stood out of the way and Crystal looked. Her eyes flashed and her jaw dropped. Inside were two gigantic sleeping bags, and one of them was cloudy blue and white. The other was pink with giant hearts. "I'll pick this one," pointed Crystal, smiling as she pointed to the cloudy sleeping bag. "Then the other visitor that comes will have to use a pink one. ...Bet it'll be a boy." The girls laughed and laughed, cracked up and fell on the floor giggling. They got together and Crystal wiped the dirt off her shirt. "This place is dusty. Deja vu," she said. "Sit on my bed, and I'll tell you about what you have to do." Star leaped onto her bed and kicked off her sneakers. Crystal smiled and she said, "Dit-to." She walked onto the bed and she jumped on it. The bed spun around and rumbled. "Is this a water--"Crystal was cut off. She just kicked off her sneakers and laid down. Smiling, Star was happy to explain. "I was preparing this nice and home-y place for you, while Mom and Dad sent me a message on the telephone. I also had to clean up the place, like mop the floors, clean the dishes, dust the hard to reach spots, and surely, yes, I got scrunched in there. 'But you have to do it,' Mom says. What-ever. Well, since you're here, we'll split jobs. That's what visitors have to do if they're ever moving in. So moving in's a hard job, but it's the rules to keep it fair. So if we're going to split jobs, sister to sister, I'll do the laundry and you'll do the dishes, the mopping and the dusting," Star explained. Crystal groaned. She had more jobs than ever!

::Chapter Six - The Legend of a Pokemon World::

Crystal had the worst two days of her life with Star. She had to clean up and do all of the chores, even though Star kept saying "we split up the jobs." Crystal also had to dust the floors and the creaky rooms. She had to do very hard jobs and she had to do the laundry. She was very tired and exhuasted after doing all of the work. She looked at Star with a mad expression on her face, her face almost flushed. Star was pouring herself a glass of lemonade, smiling and dumping the yellow liquid into her mouth greedily. "Hey, Crystal! I have a story to tell to you. Take off your slippers." Crystal wasn't still forgiving Star for the torture that she had to take, but she kicked off her slippers which flung on the spiral-shaped stairs and she walked towards the kitchen. She sat down at the kitchen table while Star cleaned things up. She dumped the rest of her lemonade slowly into the sink, and she put a nice, neat tissue on her lap once she sat down. She folded her legs delicately. She grinned happily at Crystal, while Crystal began to feel her flushed face getting better. "Well, I'd like to tell you a 'legend,'" explained Star. "Cool!" thought Crystal. She began smiling, and her ears were listening to every sound. Crystal felt some music come into her ear but she blocked it out. Flashbacks blurred into her mind. She simply ignored it. "Tell me." "Okay. Well, there was this guy in Bluerose City that told Mom this legend. Mom told me on the phone. I'll tell you ALL about it," replied Star, adding each remark and detail she could remember. Crystal nodded slowly as she tucked her shirt back in closer to her skin so she felt more comfortable, and squirmed for a bit. "In Bluerose City there was a beautiful woman that was the center of attention. Her name was--"Crystal began to speak as she opened her wide mouth and her hair flung into the air. "I have a question!" yelped out Crystal without knowing that she cut off her sister. Star groaned. Her face turned into a big frown and her hair ran down her face. "Oh. Sorry." Crystal backed away, pushing her chair annoyingly. "As I was saying...! In Bluerose City there once was a beautiful woman that was the center of attention. Her name was Reca. Ree-cah. She believed there was a beautiful Pokemon world out there, other than the earth we live in," continued Star. Crystal was highly interested, so she began to take notes in her head. "Reca loved to talk to Pokemon, but people thought she was nuts. Some said, 'Reca's a big dork. She can't talk to Pokemon.' But Reca never gave up! She always had a way to prove it to people." Star smiled. She placed her hand on Crystal's hand as Crystal's face began getting flushed. "Well, Reca had to think about this for days and weeks and years. She thought and thought, until the woman grew old. She kept on thinking until something hit her. BAM! 'I've got an idea. I should build a Pokemon world by my own--those people will have to see the looks on their faces!' And from that day on, she left Bluerose City, and she went off to work with a magic glowing toolbox, clutched in her hands while a Pikachu was following. It was her partner, and she never came back again." Star finished with a sad tone. She frowned and looked glum. "Awww. I hope she proves it!" hollered out Crystal. She had her chance to speak. "Oh! Look at the time. It's time for lunch," Star said. She grinned and she walked to the fridge. She opened it up and reached out and brought out some cold, hard chocolate chip cookies. "We can't eat that," said Crystal, forgetting her common sense. "Use your noodle," laughed Star. "I'll heaten it up." Walking to the microwave, Crystal sniffed the smell of warm, creamy chocolate.

::Chapter Seven - Reca's Pikachu Turns Back to Bluerose::

"We're going hiking today." The words blended into a sweet taste onto Crystal's taste buds as she grabbed chips from her crumpling bag, as she listened closely at Star, who was mentioning a hiking trip. "Crystal! Pay attention!" snapped Star, as Crystal slowly looked up to her angry sister and crunching her teeth to the yummy taste of her chips. Star grabbed the chips away and Crystal felt contrary. "Sorry about the chips," sighed Star, giving them back to Crystal. Crystal clapped her hands happily and munched away with her potato chips. "I decided to change the plan. We're not going hiking today, today, us, sisters, will be going to Bluerose City to visit the Bluerose Museum!" Star finished, clapping her hands. Wind and breezes flew against Crystal's neck. Flashbacks blinded her eyes, she couldn't hear anything. Was this true? She kept the flashbacks away. She smiled really big. She was going to Reca's homeland! Crystal grinned and her hair fluttered against the warm wind. "I'd be glad to go," she whispered quietly, munching on her last chip and getting up to throw the bag away. Star had a straight line on her face, she took the bag out of Crystal's hands, and walked to the garbage can. She dashed and jumped on it, then slowly fluttered the bag in and walked back to Crystal. "Why did you jump on the garbage can?" Crystal asked, her eyes amazed. "I don't know. Hey! Since we're already done planning, I guess I'll come back inside the house and I'll call Mom so she can send us some digital cameras to snap pictures at the museums together. Wouldn't that be a cute idea?" asked Star, smiling. Crystal nodded and she looked out in the blue sky. The sky seemed like an ocean full of white pom-poms, cheering of the freedom of flying. Crystal's arm blew against the wind back and forth, and Crystal slowly looked down and closed her eyes. It felt so peaceful to be inside and feel the warm wind brushing against your body. Crystal felt like she was adrift the clouds and looking down, and she was having a wonderful imagination. Star snapped her out of her 'daydream' by snapping her fingers. "Come on. I'm calling Mom. You read the newspaper, won't ya?" she asked again. Star grinned and she threw confused old Crystal a dirty, wrinkled newspaper. Even though it was dirty and almost full of cat's vomit, Crystal took the clean edge of the newspaper and unfolded it. She settled herself to a chair outside and a table for picnics, and she began reading, interested in all of the news. "Wow!" Crystal muttered, reading more of the news. Everything about the newspaper she had gotten from her friendly but lazy sister Star was amazing besides the cat vomit that was spit up on a part of the newspaper caption. Crystal looked around and she read the news quickly. In big, bold letters, a giant headline was stretched across the newspaper from edge to edge, reading, "RECA'S BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER." Crystal gasped and almost dropped the newspaper so it could flutter away in the breeze like a freed butterfly, but she held on tighter and was eager to know the news. Then pictures of dying flashed into her mind. Crystal's mind blurred. "No!" she cried. A giant echo boomed across Jirachi Lake, and she held her head. Crystal was soon better, and she ran after the flying newspaper. Soon she got herself settled and went down to read. The words in the newspaper said, "The citizens in Bluerose City are very popular because of the legendary Reca that had once been living in the city. Once she had left, crowds and crowds of people began coming to Bluerose City to meet Reca's old pals, her Pokemon. But the day that the Pokemon had been interviewed, they fled. After Reca and her belongings and friends had been away, nobody seemed to be popular anymore. But that's wrong now! David the fisherman caught a glance at Reca's very sparkly Pikachu hopping across the entrance to Bluerose City. Everyone crowded against him so he could tell his story today. 'Well, first, I was aiming to catch the biggest Magikarp in the Fishing Booth, but I wasn't quite good enough. I began practicing and then along the road came a playful Pikachu. I was surprised at first and I tried to catch it, but as the Pikachu stopped by, I saw a collar on his neck. He belonged to Reca, and I'm so positive that it was a guy,' David explains. More news will be seen later. Reca's Pikachu has visited Bluerose City!" Crystal gasped in amazement, and she rushed back with the flying newspaper to show Star her discovery.

::Chapter Eight - Mightyena Attack!::

"Oh. That's great." Star smiled brightly at Crystal, which made her shudder for a moment. She hadn't seen Star smile at her for a while now, and she didn't expect it to be now, but she was glad to see the happy back into her face. "I called Mom, also. She doesn't have an extra digital camera for us, so I'll go buy some for us. We could also dress up like twins, that'd be cute." She flashed back her shiny smile. Crystal shuddered again and forced herself to smile. "Okay," she replied softly. "Can we go to Bluerose City tomorrow, though?" She blushed and looked down at her soggy sneakers. When Crystal looked upon her sister's face, she nodded, grinning from ear to ear. "Wonderful plans." She closed her eyes, thought of everything that was going to happen, and she rushed into her room with her notebook and green ink pen and began forcing the pen to drop down some new sizzling ideas. "Okay, now I have to start to pack!" Crystal exclaimed, as excited as her sister was. As she zoomed into the living room, she kicked off her sneakers and she grabbed a pink heart designed note pad. She grabbed a pencil and made a list of the things she hoped to wear and pack. "Hey - I didn't have my packings before. They're still in the bus." Crystal's heart sank, but she decided she'd have to ask Star for some clothing and some flip flops. Bluerose City had a wonderful sunny beach, technically called Sunlight Bay. At night, Sunlight Bay would still have a spark of light rising throughout the sky. "Hmmm," Crystal wondered as she laid down to think. The sofa in the living room was so soft and bouncy. Crystal felt exactly at home, except that her parents weren't here and she never did as much chores, although she did a lot at home anyways. "Mmmph," she said, almost closing her eyes. Once she dozed off, she was dreaming. She dreamt that she had a Chikorita as a starting Pokemon, and she beat the Elite Four just after she exited five routes. As she got a championship trophy, Star woke her up from her snooze. "Hey, buddy... it's time to pack," she announced with a singing tone. Crystal zoomed up and quickly pushed off her slippers. She rushed in her socks to Star's room, where Star was meeting her (she's quick!). Clicking and knocking against the door, Crystal kept on poking the knob. "Stttttttaaaarrrr," she groaned, "let me come in. Please. God 'n Amen." Star sneaked a smile and she looked through the key hole. "Hehe," she said, opening the door. Crystal grinned and ran in before Star shut the door with her hand. "I'm going to pick up some cans of noodle soup at the supermarket, Crystal. Can you watch over the house while I'm gone? Here's the keys." Before Crystal could raise a finger, she got slammed with the house keys. "I know, the time you came in, the door wasn't locked. But you can lock and unlock the house doors... with the key. Or you could do--"Bam! Crystal frowned and she looked over at Star. "Sis, I want to go biking. I want to go biking. I want to go biking! I'm not watching over your dumb house." Soon, she held her mouth shut, and Star's jaw dropped. "Really?" She felt sad and depressed, misunderstood and torn apart. She threw the keys on the bed and she walked down the stair steps, her face as blue as nightmares. "Oh, Star, that wasn't what I meant to say!" Star was already gone, though, so Crystal sighed. She walked over to the garage slowly and picked up Star's old, dusty brown fuzzy bike that said, "Brown Rocks 'Em All!" on it. Crystal patted the fuzz, and she picked it up so it stood straight. It glimmered in the sunlight - it as in the handlebars. The fuzzy part blocked the shiny smooth part under the fuzz. "I guess I'll go biking with this." Crystal smiled and hollered, "Whoo-hoo!" As she rode along the gardens, the breeze flowing her smooth hair, Crystal suddenly saw a tiny figure ahead. "Hey, I better check that out!" She rode towards the figure and almost dropped her bike. She gasped. It was a poor scar-covered Trainer, bitten by a pack of Mightyenas!

::Chapter Nine - Mightyena Attack... the Tale::

"Shoo, you dirty hyenas!" Crystal yelped in fright. She shuddered quickly and kept her squirming hands on the handlebars while the growling canines shot back at Crystal, "You dirty pig. Go pick on someone your own size!" The biggest Mightyena, possibly the leader of the group, growled the loudest. "You should get out of here - or I'll bite your neck with your flesh dropping and cutting apart in just five seconds!" boomed the Mightyena leader which was technically a female. Crystal cowered in fright, she was quite getting to be a scaredy cat. But then she remembered what her father had once said to her. "Don't be afraid. Yell back! Be tough." Crystal's flashbacks flicked into her mind like a television screen, but she shook her head again and again to get the sights out. "No! I'm going to save this young boy. Go away!" Crystal shot back. "Good choice. I've been wanting to battle." The female Mightyena pursed her lips. She licked herself over and flipped her tail. "ROAR!" she screamed, leaping into the sunlight. Crystal gasped as she looked up at the Mightyena leader, who was viciously snapping her jaws and coming back down for a final move. "No!" cried Crystal. She hopped on her bike and gripped the handlebars tightly, and began touching the "moving pad" and began to zoom away, but she couldn't leave the poor Trainer. Soon, her eyes flashed a big, vicious pupil. She felt hot and she felt angry. The anger burst into her mind made her roar a giant scream. She almost tore her hair apart, and she looked angrily at the Mightyena leader, who was flashing a nasty look at her. "DON'T you dare... do anything to this little boy!" she roared. She yelled all around to the scenery, "Serebiiii!" Her loud voice echoed through many Mightyenas' ears. They flashed their master a look and rushed away because of the high sound. The last Mightyena standing was the master. "My name is Shadow," she introduced, grinning with her sharp, flesh-biting jaws. She smirked and got a closer look at Crystal. "What a juicy one!" Laughing like a hyena's cackle, Shadow cackled the evil villian cackle - not one you would like to hear. "Serebii--"Crystal was cut off. The 'Voice of the Forest' was not coming. But although the most prized Pokemon of the forest, Celebi, wasn't coming to help her, that didn't mean other Pokemon couldn't help her. Shadow licked her lips. "I should cut you down right now," she grinned. Crystal felt a sweat drop coming from her head, and she nervously wiped it down with her shirt's sleeve. "She can't get me," Crystal decided bravely. She began to growl and she began to act tough. She began getting angrier and hotter, and even more. "Go away!" she boomed as loudly as a human could yell. "Go... AWAY!" She screamed loudly and Shadow was knocked onto a tree's bark. "Not too bad for a rookie. But I'm stronger than you!" yelled Shadow. Crystal put her hands on her hips. "It's not about strength, it's about the heart and it's about the strategy." She smiled and began to laugh. "Guys, go and get 'em!" "Huh?" Shadow was confused. But soon, she licked her lips. Crystal smiled and she put her sweating hands over on her handlebars. But as soon as she snapped her finger, swarms of Furret and Caterpie bit and growled at Shadow. As scared as an abandoned kitten, the canine ran away with scars all over her beautiful fur. "Gotcha!" exclaimed Crystal, pounding her fist into the air. The Pokemon retreated, and Crystal smiled proudly, her teeth shining in the sunlight, blinking. Crystal grinned even more, but she forgot about the Trainer. "Oh no!" She got on her bike quickly and squirmed around. She grabbed the handlebars and gripped it tightly. She zoomed to the Pokemon Trainer and laid close to him. As she quickly examined his wounds, Crystal sighed. She shook the Trainer gently. "Wake up." She tried her best and after a few minutes, the Trainer awoke from his slumber. "Uuugh." He held his head like it really hurt. "Hi, ma'am. Thanks for saving me. Ow!" He held his hip and he showed the major scar to Crystal. "Ouch," Crystal yelped, covering his eyes. "What happened?" she was eager to ask. The Trainer held his head again. "Before I tell you my story, who are you? I'm Kirako," the boy said quickly. Crystal blushed and she smiled a great grin. "My name is Crystal," she said, scooting closer to Kirako. "Oh. Ow." Kirako painfully got up to his feet, and he looked painfully at Crystal, smiling. "Can I possibly stay at some shelter? I got lost on the way home - and a few Mightyena attacked me for my flesh. Owww... can--"Before he could finally finish his sentence, Crystal bloomed with delight. She grinned. "Sure! Just hop on my bike!" she exclaimed, the glitter sparkling in her eyes.

::Chapter Ten - Without a Footprint::

Crystal kept on with her pedals as she zoomed across the road. Kirako watched behind, looking at all of the sights and his hands touching Crystal's shoulder to not fall off. Crystal sung a little tune to keep her straight. She felt so brave when she was fighting Shadow, the leader of the Mightyena group. She thought of training her very own little Pokemon team and beginning to go into the Pokemon Cups. "Hey, Crystal, do you live with somebody?" Kirako asked sweetly, gripping onto Crystal's shoulder. The handlebars glittered in the sunlight and the sun's rays flashed onto Crystal's shining teeth. "Yep. I live with my older sister, Star. You'll get used to her. Where do you live, anyway?" replied Crystal, looking out at an old abandoned farm, with Hoothoots gathering on branches. Kirako suddenly stopped. He suddenly looked behind of him and jumped off the bike. "I have to go." He tingled and he rushed away behind the trees, so far away Crystal couldn't keep up with him. She leaped off the bike and with her squeaky shoes, she rushed to find Kirako. "Kir-a-ko!" screamed Crystal. "Are you here? Hello? C'mon! Tsk, tsk! I know you're here!" Kirako hid beneath the Oran Berry bush. He hid deeply and he breathed a soft breath. He looked up and he looked at his bloody, pulsing wounds. He gripped his hand tightly and screeched slowly. He fell down and fainted of the sight of his blood, and Crystal shrugged. She decided to leave him if he wanted to be alone. But she was glad she saved a little boy, and she leaped back onto her bike swiftly. She grinned and the morning sunlight flashed the colors on the colorful berries. She put her foot on the pedal, and she did the same with her other remaining foot. Looking ahead, she spotted Bluerose City. And she looked at the ground because of her curiosity of the Mightyenas' footprints. But they weren't there. In fact, the Mightyena pack didn't leave a footprint! "Without a footprint?" asked Crystal, puzzled. She tapped her chin with her hand and she shook her head as flashbacks popped into her head again. She growled. "No! No! No! Go away!" She sped away with all of her strength and she kept the flashbacks away. A few moments later, she was home and she was panting, loudly and loudly. Star opened the house door and she looked down at her feet, silently kicking the firewood next to her feet. Crystal was confused at why her sister was like that. Then it popped in her mind of what she did. "Oh. Sorry, Star." She sighed deeply and the roses began to bloom in cherry blossom trees. Star looked up and grinned really wide at Crystal. Crystal looked up with huge eyes. "You're creeping me out, Star!" cried Crystal. Star laughed jokingly. "Don't worry." She walked over and she patted Crystal on the back. "I'm just glad you're home - and I'm really glad that I'll get to show you somethin', sis."

::Chapter Eleven - A Meal to Remember::

Crystal grinned and she almost stumbled to the ground, her legs very weak. She trembled with excitement and her teeth chattered. Her silky hair blew into the wind, and her glowing bright sapphire eyes stared into Star's emerald green lens. Star looked at Crystal and held her wrist tightly, gripping a tight bond. "Don't fall down, or it'll all be over," Star warned Crystal jokingly. Crystal smiled and she got up to her normal posture. She closed her eyes and smiled. As she opened her eyes, her sister forced her a blink. "Ah, well, let's just say I've got a surprise for you tonight that's very special," she said finally, clapping her little thin hands. Crystal jumped into the air and she did a jumping jack. She landed on the floor with a squeak of her little sneakers and she grinned. She held out her hand and Star took it. The girls walked through the house door and they both settled down happily on two sofas. Crystal laid down comfortably, and she stretched herself and yawned. Star stretched and she twitched and felt fidgety. "What do you think we should do at Bluerose City other than visiting the museum, Crystal? I'm not sure if we can find Reca's Pikachu," Star noted. Crystal looked up with her blinking sapphire eyes and stared at her sister. "Hey, Star, I know we'll be able to see Reca's Pikachu. I know we can." Star looked back at her. "You know, we should be packing right now," she replied, laughing. Crystal's eyes grew wide but as she looked at her giggling sister, she stood silent, cold and frightened. But soon, once Star yelled, "FART! FART! LAUGH!", that made Crystal laugh so pleasantly. The females amused themselves with a few giggling jokes for a while, and soon they took off to Star's room to pack. But after Star had packed and Crystal had folded some clothes together, she stared at Star. "Hey, Star, I ought to get a bath soon. I haven't gotten a single shower in... what? Days or weeks? I don't know. So can I use your bathroom for a while?" blushed Crystal, flashbacks sprinkling into her tiny brain again. Crystal didn't care if the flashbacks got back, she blocked them out, but she had watched a little. One flashback included her yelling, "Star has a diiiiiiaper!" and another one included her running away from her mother and her father, who were holding washcloth puppets in their hands. Star replied back with a bubbly voice, "Sure! You shouldn't stink tomorrow on our special trip." Crystal giggled a bit and she slowly advanced towards the bathroom, and she rushed in. She slammed the door and locked all of the locks. She didn't lock all of them though, because one lock was simply broken and a piece of it had broken and fell down the toilet, and Star once flushed it down without noticing. The way she noticed was when she finally saw that a part of the toilet was flooded. Grinning, Crystal slightly took off her shirt and then she took the rest of her clothes off. She turned the water to a nice, warm temperature and got in the shower. She washed her hair with the watermelon scent shampoo, and she took a little bit of soap and she cleaned her back. She especially sung a tiny tune in the bathroom and the pitter-patter of the water scraped across the crystal clear door of the shower. Star heard the singing and she smiled. After the bath, Crystal snug up in some warm sweaters, and she sniffed all the way to the kitchen. Then she saw her surprise. It was a meal of chicken, meats, dairy, cheese, pasta and so much more, cooked to a yummy delight by Star on beautiful silverware!

::Chapter Twelve - Bluerose City: Here We Come!::

The meal was over and the clock struck seven 'o clock PM. "It's kind of late," noted Star, "how about we have a little rest for a while?" Crystal nodded. She walked towards Star's couch and she laid down in a relaxing mood. "Ah," she sighed. Then, she began thinking of what she would find at Bluerose City. Star probably had already been thinking about that because as Crystal stared at her sister, she noticed the goofy look on her face. "Hehe," smiled Crystal. Then, she blinked in the ray of the lights. She sighed some more and then, she fell asleep, dreaming about Bluerose City. In her dream, she saw beautiful fountains, streaming across sculptures, people throwing bronze pennies into the fountain for good luck and wishes. Crystal and Star were wearing blue twin flip-flops and they were wearing pink sunglasses. Crystal was wearing a no-sleeve shirt that was blue and green mixed together to make a turquiose color with a Hawaiian dancing female on it and Star was just wearing a long-sleeve very dark purple jacket. She wasn't making a sweat though. Crystal smiled and licked her lips, and dreamt some more. She slept for the whole day and Star had woken up at eight sixteen. She had carried the heavy little girl up to her room and left her to sleep in her bed until morning, when the trip of Bluerose City would really begin. Crystal's beautiful and silky blue and silver-streaked hair was slightly blown by the wind on the pillow and she sighed in relief. At night, Kirako had blushed and rushed inside. He had broken into the house and had given Crystal a warm and sweet hug. Before he retreated, he whispered into her ear, "Thank you for saving my life." He fell down weakly, his wound still bleeding, and jumped out the open window and closed it. Then, the next day, Bluerose City had come.
